Compared with the combination of virtual reality and food and beverages, the "meta-universe" trademark registered by many car companies seems to be more reasonable. On September 15, Ideal Automobile took the lead in applying for the "Meta-Universe" trademark. Subsequently, on October 15 and October 18, SAIC Motor, a veteran car company, applied for 100 trademark categories related to the "meta-universe", covering all aspects of automobile research and development, production, manufacturing and sales. At present, the "meta-universe" trademarks registered by car companies are still in the examination stage and have not yet been finally approved.
For car companies, intelligent driving, intelligent car networking or the use of virtual reality technology are the main application scenarios. However, how the concept of "metaverse" will land will take time to test.
