American college students playing age of empires 4 campaign earns one credit

Starting in 2022, students at the University of Arizona can earn one credit by playing Age of Empires 4. This is due to the fact that Paul Milliman, associate professor of medieval history in the Department of History at the University of Arizona, and Alison Futrell, associate professor of Roman history, have produced special content for one of the battles in the game.

If you want to get credits, you need to meet several conditions. Students first complete the courses offered by two professors on a website. They then need to complete four key points in the game's four campaigns, which can then be evaluated. After passing the assessment, students receive one credit.

Will McCahill, commercial director at Microsoft's World's Edge Game Studios, said: "Our initial goal was not to work with universities, but after I first played this campaign, I had a twenty-minute conversation with our story designer about the Normans.
