The Qing Dynasty was a very interesting dynasty, although it was ruled by the Manchus, but the Manchus and Han played traditional culture together, but played a lot of small climaxes.
For example, the tang dynasty appeared rudimentary, the Song word hi to the peak, through the Yuanming bland, but in the Qing Dynasty, there appeared Nalan Rongruo, Gu Taiqing such a world-class master, leading the literary circle to reproduce the word fill boom.
Another example is lishu, since the han dynasty classics were determined, although all the scribes of all generations wrote, but most of them did nothing, until the rise of qing dynasty epigraphy, a group of lishu masters such as Zheng Gukou, Yi Bingshou, Deng Shiru and so on came out of nowhere, which has an impact until today.
However, Wang Duo was born a little earlier.
Therefore, through his letters, it is difficult to feel the taste of gold and stone written by the Qing Dynasty masters, and it seems that it is just a grass stop and change into a more dignified posture.
After the popularization of lishu in the Han Dynasty, the later Tang and Song Dynasties yuanming were also writing, but this font was only used in some special occasions, usually everyone wrote italic grass, lishu is just a formality.
In fact, Lishu's "encounter" after the Han Dynasty is similar to the experience of the seal book. Seal books are also written in previous dynasties, but most of them are embellished on the forehead, Yan Zhenqing's letters are often considered to have the atmosphere of seals, but the seal books of the Tang Dynasty are basically treated with a pattern, which is considered to be a fine arts and crafts.
In the traditional thesis system, there is no status of lishu at all, so calligraphers like Zhao Mengfu occasionally write a little seal, and the lines are also smooth.
After reading Wang Duo's lishu, I believe that many book friends will secretly rejoice: Wang Duo's writing of lishu is just like this, I have self-confidence!
It's good that faith comes, but don't be blind. You know, although Wang Duo's Lishu has its limitations, it also has merit, and his desirability is precisely what many contemporary writers do not have, that is: writing.
Throughout, each stroke of Wang Duo's lishu is very skillful and brisk, and in some places with obvious characteristics, like the silkworm head and goose tail, it is basically achieved in one fell swoop, without procrastination - you can say that this is hurried and hasty, but after all, it has got rid of the suspicion of "drawing".
