Lotus officially unveiled the Emira model at the 2021 Guangzhou Auto Show, with a new car priced at 858,000 yuan and positioned as a two-door two-seat sports car. At the same time, the Emira is also the last pure fuel sports car model of Lotus.
Emira's porous supercar styling not only optimizes aerodynamic performance, but also continues the Evija design language, making the overall visual impact and speed sense. At the same time, the new car implements Lotus's unique "Becker Point Baker Point" design, with an ultra-low body height of 1.2 meters, showing a lower sports car form.
The new car adopts the layout form of a mid-mounted rear-drive, 2.0T all-aluminum engine, matched with an 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, capable of bursting out a maximum horsepower of 400 hp and a maximum torque of 480 Nm, resulting in a strong performance of 0-100 km/h acceleration of less than 4.3 seconds, and a speed performance of approaching 300 km/h.
In terms of braking performance, Emira is equipped with newly developed ventilated brake discs and four-piston AP RACING calipers for enhanced braking results. Based on the EPA edge evolution architecture, the Type 132 will use an 800V high-voltage system and achieve zero-hundred-hundred-speed acceleration within 3 seconds. By 2025, it will achieve a cruising range of 400 kilometers on 8.5 minutes of charging.
