Traced back to the "ZhaoTang Academy"
In 1907, the country's first "tribute" examination, Shilou people Chen Chongding was the only one in the Panyu area of Guangzhou, the talent spread far and wide, well-known. Chen Chongding was deeply influenced by the idea of restoration, and although he had the intention of strengthening the country, he was tired of the shortcomings of the officialdom, so he returned home, set up education, and founded the Zhaotang Second Class Primary School in Shilou Middle Street.
The famous calligrapher Wu Daorong inscribed a plaque "Zhao Tang Academy" to make a grand achievement.
Later, Chen Hongze, Chen Defu, Chen Yusen, Chen Yongliang and other Shilou people who were respected by the villagers returned to their hometowns with their families and taught at Zhaotang Academy, known as the "Four Sons of Zhaotang Academy".
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Professors Chen Zhongmin and Chen Bingji, who had previously taught in colleges and universities, were all studying in the United States and should also be recalled to their townships as teachers with meager salaries and willing to serve the townships. At that time, well-known personalities Such as Chen Puzhen, Chen Jiezhi, and Chen Fengshi all returned to their hometowns to teach.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhaotang Academy was renamed Shilou Primary School (also known as Shilou Elementary Primary School, Shiloubao Primary School, and Shilou Township Central National Primary School in Panyu County), and the initial scale of the school was only primary primary education, and later gradually developed into a six-year school combining primary school and higher primary school. The curriculum includes: Chinese Literature, Arithmetic, History, Geography, Physical Education, Drawing, Handicraft, etc.
In May 1950, the school was renamed Panyu County No. 2 District No. 1 Primary School. In April 1954, the school name was changed to Shilou Central Primary School in the third district of Panyu County, and the first batch of teachers was included. In 1956, there were the first teachers' party members. In the same year, the Young Pioneers were established, and the first batch of Chinese Young Pioneers counselors were established.
On September 1, 1976, the school was moved from Shilou Middle Street to Lizhiyuan Square, and Zhaotang College ended its historical mission, at which time Shilou Central Primary School was renamed Shilou Primary School. On January 1, 1987, the People's Commune of Shilou District was renamed shilou town people's government, and subsequently, the school name was changed to Shilou town center primary school (hereinafter referred to as "Shixiao") and has been used to this day. In February 1994, it moved to the new campus of No. 36 Shapu East Road (current site).
