This year's Galaxy Awards presented a total of 18 awards such as Best Novella, Best Novella, Best Short Story, and Best Online Science Fiction. Science fiction writer Xie Yunning's "Crossing Saturn's Rings" won the Best Novel Award.

This year's Galaxy Awards Online Science Fiction Section is the one with the most shortlisted works in the six years since the award was established. The post-95 writer Tianrui Shuofu's work "We Live in Nanjing" won the Best Online Science Fiction Award. He won the "Best Web Literature Award" at the 30th Galaxy Awards in 2019 for "I'm on Mars".

"We Live in Nanjing" tells the story of a high school senior living in Nanjing in 2019, who accidentally contacted a girl living in the same geographical location in 2040 through the radio station, and the two faced the survival story of the apocalyptic natural disaster. The jury believes that this is a rare hardcore science fiction work with radio as the theme, and the author skillfully integrates the two completely different worlds of the blossoming modern and the uninhabited future into the same story, and through dialogue across time and space, let two young people who strive to save the world convey the warmth of human nature.

Li Wei, vice chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Internet Literature Writers Association and professor at Nanjing Normal University, commented that the book is "the Chinese version of the story of high school students saving the world", in addition to professional science fiction settings, wonderful stories and delicate emotions, showing the scarce aesthetic style of science fiction works, and finally completing the "new science fiction" experiment of hardcore science fiction to achieve aesthetic stories.

In an interview with this reporter, Tianrui said that the origin of creating this novel was to watch the Japanese anime movie "Your Name". He believes that telling the story well is the ultimate goal of the writer's creation. "The story is attractive, and others will pay attention to whether there are other shining points in the book."

China Youth Daily: Which science fiction writers have had a huge influence on you?

Tianrui said: I am Liu Cixin's earlier reader, and he let me see what kind of height domestic science fiction creation has reached. In my opinion, that is the absolute height, to open up space for many later authors, if he is 100 points, then we are all forty or fifty, there is still a lot of room to fill and improve.

In addition, I learned a lot of expression skills from the works of writer Gangnam.

China Youth Daily: What are the characteristics of online text creation? What is your writing status?

Tianrui said: Originally I thought that writing a novel must be written into a literary masterpiece, but after reading the online article, I realized that the novel can be so sassy, so many strange and bizarre subjects can be written.

I'm updating slowly, two thousand words a chapter, one chapter every two days. Many online writers write at least 4,000 words a day, and the most powerful ones write 30,000 words a day, which is enough for me to write for a week.

China Youth Daily: Will you draw inspiration from science fiction movies?

Tianrui Speaker: Often inspired by movies. An important criterion for my evaluation of science fiction movies is whether this movie has texture, like "Interstellar" and "Dune" is very textured, I think it is very good.

China Youth Daily· China Youth Network: How will you interact with readers during the serialization process? How does it affect writing?

Tianrui Said: I will read the reader's feedback and have some communication with the reader, but I have experienced that the online writer can get close to the reader, but the idea cannot be deviated. There is always a small group of people who express their opinions in the comments section, not the majority. If you rewrite the plot to cater to one-tenth of the people who have the opinions, it may cause the remaining nine-tenths of readers to abandon you. When it comes to the development of the outline and the main line, the author must have his own determination.
