The Wanglang area of giant panda national park is rich in forest resources, which preserves the best primary forest in northwest Sichuan, and is an important habitat for rare wild animals and plants such as giant pandas, Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys, snow leopards, and antelopes.
Since entering the forest and grassland fire prevention alert period and the autumn and winter poaching of wild animals in October, in order to effectively prevent the occurrence of forest and grassland fires and destruction of wild animal and plant resources in the area, Wang Lang Area has taken many measures at the same time to continuously carry out the investigation and rectification of forest fire prevention hazards in the forest area in winter and anti-poaching work.
First, prevention is the first priority, and the bayonet management of the entry and exit area is strict. In accordance with the requirements of the "Seven Ones" of forest and grassland fire prevention bayonets, set up entry and exit area bayonets at leopard ditch protection stations, strictly use "fire codes", do a good job in the registration and inspection of vehicles and personnel in the access areas and fire source control, sign forest fire prevention responsibility letters, and strengthen the publicity of forest and grassland fire prevention and wildlife protection knowledge.
The second is to strengthen patrols and increase the investigation and rectification of hidden dangers. Implement the responsibility of management and protection with the protection station area as the unit, focus on areas prone to human activity interference, strengthen daytime patrols and night patrols, and at the same time carry out anti-poaching special actions for key areas, and conscientiously carry out investigation and rectification of forest and grassland fire prevention and extinguishing, and hidden dangers of wild animals and plants in each area. Ensure that hidden dangers are detected early and disposed of early.
The third is to strengthen the management of construction enterprises and strengthen supervision and inspection. In accordance with the requirements of forest and grassland fire prevention, strict construction enterprises are required to handle mountain entry permits. Sign a letter of responsibility for construction safety management, implement the responsibility of construction enterprises and construction personnel for forest fire prevention and wildlife protection, and strengthen the supervision and inspection of the daily operations of construction enterprises.
The fourth is to strengthen propaganda and warning education and build a solid ideological defense line. Strengthen the publicity and warning effect on people entering the district and the surrounding communities by setting up propaganda, warning slogans, signage, bayonet publicity, mobile publicity vehicles entering the village community, and warning publicity of typical cases in the district.
Fifth, establish a joint prevention and control mechanism and cooperate with the region. Signed joint prevention and control agreements with surrounding community governments, forest industry enterprises, protected areas, etc., organized cross-regional joint patrols, joint anti-poaching, joint publicity and other actions, and effectively built an ecological security defense line in the northern area of Minshan Mountain.
