In this autumn season, the 2021 annual meeting of the China Foundation Development Forum kicked off.
The China Foundation Development Forum is a platform established under the guidance of the former NGO Administration of the Ministry of Civil Affairs to promote the development of charitable foundations and social welfare undertakings, and it is composed of 24 domestic foundations with outstanding professionalism, the pursuit of excellence and the interest in promoting the development of the industry.
This year's Annual Meeting is the 13th edition. In the past, the annual meeting was relatively large. The number of participants in the main forum is generally around 1500 and there are more than a dozen parallel forums.
Our meeting today is an important part of the annual meeting. As the rotating chairman of this annual meeting, Smile Tomorrow joined hands with Zhejiang Provincial Women's And Children's Children's Fund, Provincial Welfare Foundation for the Disabled, Hangzhou Charity Federation, and Hangzhou Foundation Development Promotion Association to jointly host the offline parallel forum of the annual meeting - "Zhejiang Charity Force of Common Prosperity Demonstration Zone". Friends, partners, the development of charity in Zhejiang has a long history, from Tao Zhu Gong Fan Li in the Warring States period to The King Qian of Wuyue, from Zheng Xingyi, the founder of the Southern Song Dynasty Yizhuang, to Ding Bing, who founded the Charity Charity Consortium in Hangzhou in Wanqing, they are all pioneers and explorers of charity, and many good deeds and ideas have the significance of reference today.
In modern times, 2008 is known as the first year of China's public welfare, to Alibaba and Tencent two Internet technology companies respectively to create Alipay public welfare and Tencent public welfare platform as an important symbol, after which Zhejiang Zhengtai, Hailiang and other foundations came into being, Wanxiang, Chuanhua, Xinhu, Jinjiang and other enterprises are also in the field of public welfare continuous practice and innovation, so Zhejiang charity has a historical heritage and the courage to innovate characteristics.
Today, we have come to a new historical node, and the party and the state have entrusted the heavy responsibility of building a "common prosperity demonstration zone" to Zhejiang Province.
We are here today to closely follow the grand theme of high-quality development and construction of a common prosperity demonstration zone in Zhejiang Province to explore how public welfare charity can achieve a two-way rush between rural revitalization, common prosperity and the promotion of the third distribution.
The just-concluded Sixth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee proposed to comprehensively deepen reform and opening up, promote common prosperity, persist in ensuring and improving people's livelihood in the course of development, and coordinate to promote the prosperity of the people, the strength of the country, and the beauty of China. Philanthropy is becoming increasingly important in the strategic positioning of the party and the state, and from the perspective of foundations and social organizations, it will usher in new development opportunities.
First of all, the macro environment on which institutions depend for their survival and development will be greatly improved, and in various fields such as the legal environment, economic environment, and social environment, they will be further enhanced and improved with the advent of promoting common prosperity and third distribution. Specifically, the charity laws and regulations are further optimized, the tax law policies and social organizations are further implemented, and the public welfare of all people will be advocated in all directions and gradually deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Beijing Normal University and other institutions organized a research meeting on the revision of the Charity Law, and in late September, Vice Minister wang Aiwen of the Ministry of Civil Affairs came to Hangzhou to attend the Zhejiang Charity Development Forum. All this fully shows that the party and the state attach great importance to improving the relevant laws and policies in the field of charity, and are also very concerned about the development of charity in Zhejiang. Zhejiang is likely to make some new attempts in these areas.
Secondly, the objects of the resource links of non-profit organizations are more diversified, and more and more external resources will stimulate vitality and form interaction and cooperation with non-profit organizations. At the same time, the internal ecology of public welfare organizations emphasizes collaboration and integrated development, public and non-public foundations, non-governmental organizations and government-backed institutions will cooperate more widely, hub-type public welfare organizations will further sink to grass-roots communities and villages, and the vertical cooperation between local public welfare organizations will be further closely and strengthened.
Third, the creativity of non-profit organizations will be further stimulated. Science and technology and business will further empower social welfare undertakings, business and public welfare will produce more integration, and there will be new developments in the quantity and quality of science and technology public welfare platforms. In the future, there will also be more impact investment, more social enterprises, and the self-hematopoietic ability of social organizations will also be newly improved, and the forms of donations and the sources of income of social organizations will become more diversified.
Friends, partners, the future has come, a new road of development is about to open, but it will not be smooth, overnight, on the new road, we will experience wind and rain and challenges. Let us be ready, constantly improve ourselves, meet new development opportunities, and move towards a new journey.
Founded in 1981, Zhejiang Women's And Children's Fund is a 5A-level foundation with public fundraising qualifications, and its professional supervisory unit is the Zhejiang Provincial Women's Federation.
