Pan Ping's grandmother, Jia Chunying, was born in 1912 in a small family in Hubei Province, and her parents were ordinary farmers, so the family was not rich, and it could even be said to be poor. It turned out that the person who came was named Luo Guanguo, who was a cousin of Jia Chunying's mother-in-law's family, who had gone out to study and was baptized by advanced ideas, and when he saw Jia Chunying's tragic situation clearly, he quickly carried her back home and loudly reprimanded her aunt, why did he ask her to go up the mountain every day to cut firewood and beat pig grass.
The aunt knew that she was wrong and tried her best to defend Luo Guanguo, and Jia Chunying, after some rest, also came out at this time to persuade her cousin that going out to work in the evening was voluntary, and it was not her aunt who forced her to do it. He also seemed to be sensible and said: "I am not a lady of a rich family, and the children of a poor family are the lives of suffering." ”
Luo Guanguo entered a private school from a young age, and also received revolutionary education to join our party, and this time he returned to Shiyun Village to mobilize the masses to join the revolution. When he heard his cousin say this, his body was shaken, and he threw himself into the revolution, running and shouting for the masses every day, but his relatives suffered from feudal oppression.
Therefore, he taught Jia Chunying very patiently, and when he heard Jia Chunying say that his life was bitter, he seriously told her: "It is not your fate that is suffering, it is that you cannot control your own fate; and you do not know how to fight against fate." After speaking, he invited Jia Chunying to the Houshan Ancestral Hall to listen to his speech and publicize the revolution.
In this way, under the guidance of Luo Guanguo, Jia Chunying would take time to listen to his speech in the Houshan Ancestral Hall every day after cutting the pig grass and cutting firewood, but not only her, but also some other poor people in the village often gathered here to listen to Luo Guanguo's propaganda of the revolution. Slowly, Jia Chunying understood what "fate" was, and also knew the great righteousness of the family and the country, so she resolutely removed the shackles on her body and actively publicized the revolution.
In the following two years, Jia Chunying accompanied Luo Guanguo to participate in large and small revolutionary activities and propaganda speeches, slowly grew up in one temper after another, and became the backbone of the local women's movement, and her outstanding work was affirmed by the district and county revolutionaries.
In 1927, under the circumstance that Chiang Kai-shek vigorously suppressed our party, Luo Guanguo gathered Jia Chunying and several other young people under the party flag printed with a sickle and axe pattern, and together held a solemn and sacred ceremony for joining the party.
Soon after, Chiang Kai-shek launched the April 12 coup d'état, and his men arrested and persecuted the Communists, and Jia Chunying's hometown was also subjected to a large-scale "sweep" by the Kuomintang, and countless Communists were killed for a time. Although Jia Chunying did not participate in the battle under the instructions of the organization, he was deeply inspired by the spirit of the organization, and learned horseback riding, martial arts, and how to maneuver between fighting wits and courage with the enemy during this period.
In early 1930, Jia Chunying and Luo Guanguo held a mass meeting in Tianjiazhuang on the border between Yangxin and Ruichang. When Luo Guanguo was speaking on stage, the local pseudo-bao commander appointed a bastard to come and sabotage. When Jia Chunying, who was present, saw this situation, he immediately jumped down from the high platform, firmly grasped the right hand of one of the saboteurs, and pressed it hard, and the saboteur immediately fell to the ground, and the people in the audience cheered. In the following years, Jia Chunying has been wandering in the Xiang'e,Gansu region, allowing more comrades to actively participate in propagating revolutionary ideas and exerting a considerable influence in the local area.
In 1933, in order to cooperate with the development strategy to the southeast, the provincial party committee ordered Jia Chunying to carry out inspections of Liuyang, Pingjiang, Xiangyin, and Wangcheng in Hunan.
Once, Jia Chunying led the team to Liuyang and marched all the way for nearly a hundred miles. When they came to the Longfu Ditch in Lianyun Mountain, Jia Chunying observed that the terrain here was dangerous and it was very easy to encounter enemy ambushes, so he asked the reconnaissance personnel to explore the way in the ditch in front of them to observe. After a while, the reconnaissance officer came back and reported: "There is no ambush there at all, although it has passed." ”
When it was dark, Jia Chunying ordered him to leave and walk at the front of the line. When he reached the middle of the ditch, there was a sudden gunshot from the mountain, followed by a burst of artillery fire, suppressing Jia Chunying and the team at the bottom of the ditch. She shouted, "Don't lie down, jump all into the ditch...".
After the gunshots, the Ambushed Nationalist troops on the hill began to descend the hill with torches in search of the bodies of the Red Army guerrillas. Jia Chunying and a small number of comrades were spared death because they jumped into the ditch, and in this encounter, the Red Army team suffered huge losses.
Regarding this encounter, the provincial military district learned through later intelligence that Jia Chunying had already been listed as a key target for the Kuomintang army, and when dealing with a Red Army guerrilla group with only more than a hundred people, it actually dispatched a regiment of troops. Afterwards, Guo Ziming specifically approached Jia Chunying for a battle situation analysis and jokingly said: "Your girl's value is similar to that of my chief of staff."
Because Jia Chunying has been working in the army, until she was 23 years old, the organization has always been interested in finding a like-minded comrade for her and promoting a marriage. Although the male comrades are very fond of Jia Chunying, Jia Chunying has no good feelings until Pan Tao appears.
In the battle, the two are always inseparable, just a look seems to understand what the other is thinking, until an incident that happens the next year makes the two finally walk together. At that time, Jia Chunying escorted a batch of supplies back to the Pingjiang Golden Cave as usual, but unexpectedly was suddenly ambushed by the Kuomintang on the way.

Jia Chunying saw that the matter was urgent and immediately burned all the documents she was carrying, and Peng Yihu, the chairman of the Soviet government who had been on a mission with Jia Chunying at this time, suddenly pointed his gun at her and ordered her to hand over the documents and silver dollars, which Jia Chunying never expected. In the face of the traitor, Jia Chunying was extremely angry, and immediately wrestled with Peng Yihu. In the process, Jia Chunying was knocked unconscious by Peng Yihu and taken to Pingjiang County Prison.
After being captured, Jia Chunying was not tortured by the Kuomintang at first to force her to confess, but instead entertained her with good wine and good food, but how could Jia Chunying betray our party, so the Kuomintang had to change its tactics and torture her. The enemy's cruel means did not break Jia Chunying's will, and no matter how the enemy pressed him, Jia Chunying did not confide the slightest information about our party.
In this way, after nine months, the relations between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party began to ease somewhat, and with the second cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, the anti-Japanese united front was formed. Jia Chunying also noticed that the treatment in the prison had improved, and finally one day, the jailer opened the door of the cell and released her and her companions, and as soon as Jia Chunying went out, she saw a familiar figure - Pan Tao, when Jia Chunying was just imprisoned, the organization and he actively thought of various ways to rescue, and finally found the opportunity nine months later, in 1937, Jia Chunying finally accepted Pan Tao's love.
Two years later, because of her pregnancy, Jia Chunying was transferred back to her hometown to carry out underground work, and gave birth to two sons in the spring of 1940. She wrote this message to Pan Tao at the first time, but what was waiting was not Pan Tao's reply, but bad news brought by Pan Tao's guards. It turned out that not long ago, Pan Tao's guerrilla group, in order to block the communication line of the Japanese army on the Yangtze River, met the Japanese army while jiayu was moving along the river, and Pan Tao was unfortunately shot and killed in the fierce battle between the two sides.
