After the Sino-US meeting, many US allies showed favor to China, but Canada provoked: it can let go and deal with China

The video meeting between the Chinese and US heads of state has caused great repercussions and sent an important message to the countries of the world that China and the United States are seeking to ease bilateral relations. After the Sino-US meeting, the US allies understood and immediately changed their posture, and many US allies, including the European Union, Japan, and Australia, began to show goodwill to China, hoping to change bilateral relations. Of course, not all U.S. allies, such as Canada, have spoken out about letting go of China.

After the Sino-US meeting, good news came from all over the world. In an interview in Singapore on November 17, Australian Trade Minister Dan Tehan said that the China-US-Us dollar dialogue is very meaningful and important, and Australia hopes to do something similar with China. Tehan also said Australia was seeking engagement with China to resolve differences and issues between the two sides. Although this is not the first time that Tehan wants China and Australia to have a dialogue, this time node has a very special significance.

Also on November 17, a message came from Japan. According to Japanese media reports, Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio decided not to enact the Japanese version of the so-called Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act. Previously, some Western countries have enacted relevant laws. As for Kishida's approach, the Japanese media believe that it is to leave room for relations with China. On November 16, Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Hiroichi Matsuno spoke about the China-US summit meeting, saying that the stability of US-China relations is extremely important in the international community and will continue to promote China to fulfill its responsibilities as a major country.

The EU has also reacted. According to the Hong Kong media "South China Morning Post" reported on November 17, the EU side suspended the upgrading of trade relations with Taiwan, and the "new strategic form" announced on November 19 has been stopped. In addition, the EU side hopes to re-engage with China and plans to hold a "27+1" talks before the end of this year, with all EU member states and China participating. Judging from the current situation, it is more difficult to hold this meeting before the end of the year. But in any case, the EU's posture is there.

Before the Sino-US meeting, britain and Germany also showed goodwill toward China. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the EU and Germany should not decouple from China. The British government rejected the British parliament's Xinjiang-related proposals, opposed the definition of human rights in Xinjiang as "genocide", and did not agree to a ban on the import of Xinjiang cotton. Although Britain and Germany showed goodwill to China before the meeting, this shows that Western countries have the intention of improving relations with China, which is a very positive aspect in itself.

However, not all U.S. allies are so "sensible," and Canada is a prime example. On November 16, local time, the Canadian media "Globe and Mail" reported that the Canadian government admitted in an inquiry that it had seized clothing produced by Chinese companies, and the incident occurred between March and November 3 this year. Canadian Liberal MpasCuberi claimed that Canada should follow the U.S. practice and strictly prohibit the import of all goods such as cotton or tomatoes from Xinjiang, citing the so-called "forced labor."

Sazubberry also provoked that now that Michael Kovrig and Michael have returned to China, Canada does not need to have too many scruples and can continue to deal with China in an unprecedented way. Sazubel's words can fully reflect that this person cannot understand the situation. Against the backdrop of the United States taking the initiative to seek to improve China's relations, Sazuberi actually thought of trying to embarrass China with the law, and wanted to make a cruel move, which can only show that the consciousness is too low and does not want the Eu, Japan, Australia and other countries to be alert.

Of course, judging from the transformation of Europe, Japan and Australia, it shows that they are only from the United States and have no independent policy. If the United States turns again one day, these countries are expected to turn the gun. Therefore, even if these countries are currently showing goodwill, China cannot take it lightly, or it needs to remain cautious, otherwise it will only make itself passive.
