Driving in the Ruoerge grassland for several days, the high-altitude plateau weather is changeable, sometimes sunny, sometimes rain and snow, this changing weather often brings us surprises. Staying in Tangke Town, where the first bay of the Jiuqu Yellow River is located, we arrived here early the next morning, and the plateau wetland really brought us another surprise, the ethereal water vapor floated on the ground like a white silk, the grace and style of the Mother River loomed, the earth was decorated as a dreamlike wonderland, and the "majestic illusion in the universe" of the First Bay of the Yellow River Jiuqu was vividly displayed.
There is a small hillside in front of the first bay of the Yellow River Jiuqu, the famous Sokzang Temple is located on the hillside, there is a hill in front of the temple, and the top of the hill can overlook the first bay of the Jiuqu Yellow River, which is also the best place to watch the sunrise and sunset. The mist and white frost in the early morning set off the holiness and solemnity of this Tibetan temple, making people feel the urge to worship.
Located at an altitude of more than 3400 meters above sea level, the first bay of the Jiuqu Yellow River originates in the Bayan Kara Mountains (4500 meters above sea level), flows through the territory of Sichuan Province, and merges with the Baihe River in Tangke Town, Ruoerge County, forming the first big turn of Jiuqu. This section of the Yellow River becomes the boundary river between Sichuan and Gansu, with Gansu to the west and Sichuan to the east. The Yellow River comes from the Gansu side, and the White River flows from the top of the first bay of the Yellow River, forming a perfect curve like an "S" shape. Here, the water of the Yellow River is like a fairy's streamer slowly wafting from the sky, gently touching it on the edge of Sichuan, and then turning around and floating back to Qinghai, forming a famous scenic spot known as the "First Bay of the Yellow River of Jiuqu".
This plateau wetland with abundant water resources is not only widely distributed and large, it is the largest peat swamp in China, and the swamp rate is high, and the swamp rate is 20% to 30% of the grassland area, which is also an important nature reserve in China. The abundant water resources of the wetlands also form a great contribution to this ethereal wonderland in the early morning, and the cold air and gentle surface create a beautiful fairy tale world.
