From the perspective of age, Chen Daoming is the protagonist of this drama, from youth to old age, the time span is several decades, which is a huge difference from Jiao Huang only playing the elderly Kangxi.
Jiao Huang can go deeper, the depth of the role, Chen Daoming can only grasp one characteristic of the role to highlight, that is, bao Juyu and swallow the imperial domineering spirit of the eight wildernesses.
From the appearance point of view, Chen Daoming was 47 years old when he played this role, but he wanted to play Kangxi in various periods, even with the help of makeup skills, it was difficult to be similar.
In an interview, he also responded to this question: (playing a teenager) can only be the scalp, I am already a 47-year-old person, to pretend to be small, tender, certainly awkward, there is no way, I can only act in my way, rather than say that I act like, rather than say that I act disgustingly.
Therefore, in the series, he is more often catching the gods, and the essence of it is the domineering spirit of the emperor.
From the perspective of performance style, the whole drama of "Kangxi Dynasty" is not a historical drama, but a historical male drama, which is not much different from "The Biography of Zhen Huan".
Of course, Chen Daoming can't use grounded acting when performing, but there must be a sense of illusion, and he also handles it this way when performing.
For example, he usually habitually pauses before saying his lines, and the lines he speaks are depressed and full of drama feelings.
Another example is the section in the play in which Kangxi angrily rebukes Suo Ertu, if it is replaced by Jiao Huang to play, it must be not angry and arrogant, and the words are like gold, and the point is reached. However, in "Kangxi Dynasty", it is a mirror to the end, Chen Daoming said a lot of lines with sonorous and powerful, and the stage style is very obvious.
This slightly exaggerated performance and the script are very compatible, so when we watched this play, the sense of substitution was very strong, and we did not realize that this was a cool drama, and it was all seen as a positive drama, until many years later, when we looked back, we came back from the role illusion created by Chen Daoming.
This role will be evaluated as too much force + greasy expression + honey juice confidence, but Uncle Dominion is stunned to perform the shuang opera to the feeling of the main drama, so that 20 years later, in the case of everyone recognizing that the quality of "Yongzheng Dynasty" is better than that of "Kangxi Dynasty", the Douban scores of the two dramas are almost the same (9.2 and 9.3), an important reason is that Chen Daoming's personal charm makes up for the gap in the play.
