To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Founding of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the exhibition will feature more than 250 of its most iconic collections, covering almost all art genres in the collection, presenting 5,000 years of human history. With archival materials and immersive installations, the exhibition will also look back at the museum's history, reaffirm the collection mission and look ahead to the future vision. The exhibition will focus on 10 turning points in the museum's history, from the early encyclopedic collection to major donations and curatorial projects, combing through its history in chronological order.
