Soul: Your life is worth living

author:Hazelnut notes

Near-death experiences (NDE) are a serious study in the medical field, and there are numerous papers on the Lancet. Those who have been seriously studied for near-death experiences can basically accurately describe the full details of what happened at the scene of the accident or in the operating room in their "death" state, even if the brain waves have stopped.

Of all the cases reported on near-death experiences, there are certainly some people who lie and some who experience hallucinations, but "the brain can hallucinate" ≠ "near-death experiences are hallucinations", and there is a high degree of consistency in near-death experiences. The specifics will not be elaborated on, interested can search for papers. The following describes only the near-death experience itself.

I have read nearly a thousand cases of near-death experiences, summarizing what my witnesses have generally mentioned: dark tunnels, where many people walk together; light, brighter than all the light seen in the world, but not dazzling, and the soul itself has no eyes; love, feeling that everything is forgiven, accepted, and repenting of the harm it has done to others in the past; the dissolution of time, as if it were ten minutes, and as if it were eternity; the loss of language, the conversation of all souls with thoughts, the imprint of hearts; "I" exists and does not exist, "I" Like a drop of water falling into the ocean, one with all people, knowing that you are still unique; color, as if there were no color, but there are indeed brilliant, gentle and flowing colors, the richness of which is beyond the human eye to see; wisdom, knowing the whole universe in an instant (but waking up can only remember very few core facts, such as the absence of time); deceased relatives, who look different from when they were alive, but can recognize their own relatives; the source of all things, words cannot describe, but know with certainty that this is the source of all things. Some of them will come to a very beautiful nature, where they will see the source of all things, and then they will be sent back. There are also some people who meet a grown man who comes to pick them up and feels, "He's an adult, I'm a child, he knows my whole life, and I want to tell him myself." So far, all that everyone feels is love, light, and vitality. Only a very few would say they saw a terrible, hellish sight. Another point mentioned by suiciders is that suicide and killing are forbidden, and all those who have survived suicide will regret committing suicide —but not because they are forbidden, but because they know that the soul is eternal and that life is worth living; whether on the other side of life or on earth, there are countless souls who love themselves, but they did not want to believe their love in the past.

The depiction of the "tunnel" in "Psychic Journey" is quite shocking, very close to the description of the NDE witnesses.

Soul: Your life is worth living

1) Many people believe that there is no need for a so-called soul, that all consciousness depends on brain activity, and that it is a neurobioelectric signal. This view is called "reductionism," and it is not a thorough scientific fact, but a paradigm. Some scientists are fanatical in reductivism, while others are against it. Going deeper and going to the philosophy of science, I will not expand on it for the time being, but will quote only one note on "reductionism" that I have summarized earlier:

The idea that "love, emotion, decision-making, etc. all depend on neural activity/bioelectrical signals" is still a hypothesis to this day, not the same law of gravity as gravity. It is the application of reductionism in the field of neuroscience. (1) The synergy of neural activity and cognition/behavior, (2) cognitive/behavioral changes can be partially reflected in brain activity, (3) brain-computer interface technology can be partially applied to "changing EEG signals through implantation of electrodes to treat certain diseases and make certain actions" - these are not equivalent to "the existence of one-to-one corresponding reducing structures" "... Depends on..." "... Decide...". We cannot establish a reliable framework to deduce the inevitability of reductionism. All the hypotheses that love is an illusion, "there is no free will," and the hypothesis that "we will eventually prove that love is an illusion" are equally emotional expectations.

2) The setting in Psychic Journey is that everyone has only one soul. After Joey dies for the first time, he has to go to the other side of life, and if he doesn't go, he will temporarily go to the Spiritual Academy to be a teacher for the unborn soul. President Lincoln, Mother Teresa, George Orwell, and others have all been mentors to Soul 22.

For Orientals, who are heavily influenced by Buddhism, this is not easy to understand. I have always felt that "reincarnation" is the most difficult part of the question of life and death, the fundamental difference between Eastern and Western religions. But then I saw more than one Buddhist practitioner say that there is no real reincarnation, and that the six paths are just the state of the soul. Maybe when a person is alive and has endless greed, the soul is in the path of hungry ghosts, and when he is enlightened, he is in heaven and humanity. The so-called "past life memories" are just things that everyone especially wants to get in the depths of their hearts, or cannot be put down, and presented as certain specific scenes. In "Journey of the Mind", it is set that each soul will develop a unique personality in the Spiritual Academy, which is also in line with modern science - neuroscience and other disciplines have shown that personality has environmental factors, as well as innate construction, such as being born as a sensitive and intense high-demand baby.

When Joey and No. 22 landed on Earth for the first time in Psychic Journey, No. 22 fell into Joey's body. Is it possible for the soul to go the wrong way? Even if it were possible, it would be about one in a hundred million, and we'll leave it alone. What we're going to explore is the setting of this film: the soul is the essence. The body is important, but the soul is the body. The famous British writer C. S. Lewis once said: You don't have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body. You are you, the unique you. With your heart, see your whole life.

Soul: Your life is worth living

Joey undoubtedly loves life, he has goals, affection and love, and he has enjoyed the nourishment of music since he was a child. But Joey still doesn't understand life — he doesn't understand, life is good.

This is foreshadowed in the first half of the film. Joey is evasive of his mother, indifferent to his friends, and absent-minded about his teaching. He never thought that everything could be that simple. After becoming a fake Joey on the 22nd, as soon as she communicated with her mother seriously, her mother understood. As soon as fake Joey cares about the neighbors, everyone likes him and talks and laughs with him. Mothers have never been difficult to communicate with, nor have the neighbors of the barbershop, and it is Joy herself who has created a lot of fears and obstacles in her heart.

Joey is afraid of not being understood by his mother, not being liked by people, and the thing he is most afraid of is to be a music teacher for the rest of his life. But the barber appeared. After the barber retired from the army, he wanted to become a veterinarian, because his daughter was ill, the haircut training class was very cheap, and he could quickly make money, so he went to learn haircuts. And then what? His daughter was cured, and he also found it interesting to get a haircut, and he was trusted and relied upon by so many people.

Joey in the past never asked about the old friend's life. This time, the two Joeys felt a friendship, a real "connection."

What else? There is also "existence". The being of the soul. Joey thought that he could only really exist on the stage of a jazz bar, but he could also exist at the piano in the school classroom. Like the barber who exists in the barber, like the little girl who sits on the stairs and plays the trombone.

Like the 22nd, it exists in walking, eating, and watching fallen leaves.

The mentors of number 22 had always been great people, and they pointed out to her the distant and great pillars of light, but forgot, and took her to wipe out the faintest spark.

So the movie is saying, is it okay to be a waste of firewood? What kind of person we will become after the 22nd, we don't really know. The only thing we know is that the spark of life burns in the moment when we want to live. Joey, Lincoln, and Mother Teresa, before they were born, presumably didn't know what their goals were. No one is born for greatness. They saw the things that made them want to live, and then they were born, grew up, and stepped out of that great path step by step. At the end of their lives, they think about the end, but the beginning of life is always a little bit of flickering.

There was a heretical idea in early Christianity called Gnosticism, which preached a radical dualism of the flesh and soul, disparaging the physical and material worlds. Today we know that even if reductionism does not hold, it may not be possible to derive Gnostic. Soul and body, spirit and matter, they are synergistic. We can fully enjoy the beauty of the flesh and the material. When Number 22 came to Earth, it was the food, sounds, smiles, smells, and colors that touched her. Running water, breeze, clouds, the temperature of the sun on the ground, people chatting on street corners... It was these that gave her the desire to "live".

Soul: Your life is worth living

Your life is worth living. Your life is worth living, your life is worth living. The soul and the body are gifts. The life of the flesh and the eternity of the soul are blessings.

Don't think about what it means to "do" yourself. At this moment, you just have to "go back" to yourself. Within you, the breath of life, surging all the time, never stops caring for you and revealing you.

From here, until the universe beyond the universe, billions of souls, always love you.
