Xiling Snow Mountain Ski Resort covers an area of 220,000 square meters, ice and snow sports projects 105,000 square meters, with a total area of more than 300,000 square meters. With an average annual snowfall of about 80cm and an average snow season temperature of not less than minus 6 °C, it is the warmest ski resort in the country. As the closest snow-capped mountain in China to a city with a population of 10 million, the scenic spot is named after the "window contains thousands of autumn snow in Xiling". At present, Xiling Snow Mountain has become a southern ice and snow resort, mountain sports and wellness tourism destination.
At present, there are 29 snow season open projects supporting the ski resort, and 38 projects open throughout the year. There are 7 ski slopes in total, 3 primary roads, 1 intermediate road, 2 advanced roads, and the largest snowboard park in the southwest region, with a total area of about 220,000 square meters, a total length of about 4 kilometers, equipped with 2,500 sets of well-known brand ski equipment, which can accommodate 2,000 skiers at the same time.
In recent years, the scenic spot has held large-scale activities and events such as the Asian Station of the Global Chinese Ski Competition, the Southern International Ice and Snow Festival, the Forest Culture Festival, the World Snow Day and International Children's Skiing, the First Youth Ski Competition in Chengdu, the National Fitness Ice and Snow Season in Sichuan Province, the Snow Experience Activity of the Chengdu National Fitness Games, the Ice and Snow Activity of the Chengdu National Fitness Games, the Ice and Snow Activities of the Chengdu Ice and Snow Entering the Campus, and the Ice and Snow Winter Camp.
