Not long ago, Ning Hailong, a villager in Nanhuha Village, Gangou Township, Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County, completed the transformation of dry toilets at his home, and he gave a thumbs up to the "toilet revolution" in the village in recent years.

Walking into Ning Hailong's home, the simple dry toilet that was previously built with cement platforms has been paved with clean and tidy tiles, and the toilet has also added a mosquito-proof lid, which looks no different from the bathroom of urban residents. As an old village doctor, Ning Hailong, 52, knows the importance of toilet hygiene. "In the past, rural toilets were generally dirty and messy, especially in the summer, everyone was surrounded by smells and mosquitoes, not to mention invisible bacteria, and many diseases appeared like this." He said: "Don't look at it as a small toilet, which has changed the lives of our peasants, but it has turned the world upside down!" ”

In recent years, Nanhuha Village has solidly promoted the "toilet revolution", and since 2013, a total of 245 toilets have been built and renovated, of which more than 50 have been reconstructed this year. As a famous tourist village of Qinglong, Nanhuha Village has rich landscape resources such as the natural "Stone Great Wall". In order to continuously improve the supporting infrastructure of the scenic spot, in addition to setting up accommodation and parking places, the village visitor center has also built a 3A-level tourist toilet to meet the details of tourism services and village appearance construction. Today's Nanhuha, the village's asphalt road is wide and flat, the mountain boardwalk is winding, the river channel and pond surround the vast village, from public facilities to the living environment are gradually complete and clean.

In the process of promoting the "toilet revolution" in the whole village, the cadres of Gangou Township, the village-based task force, the village "two committees" and the Qinhuangdao Tourism Holding Group, a designated help unit funded by the fund, have made the work advanced with high quality. At present, Qinhuangdao Tourism Holding Group has appointed a professional design team to carry out a new round of overall tourism planning for Nanhuha, and has developed in conjunction with Gangou Township in the promotion of agricultural products, and is realizing the construction of an online e-commerce platform.
