Straight to the theme: three chapters explain the types of silver dollars minted in the central part of the Qing Dynasty. In addition to the two kinds of silver dollars minted by the Central Bureau of the Qing Dynasty that we are familiar with and can often see, there are also five kinds of very rare trial minted sample coins, these five kinds of trial minted sample coins are difficult for us to see even pictures, let alone physical objects, and I will introduce them to you one by one according to the chronological order of minting:
In the 26th year of qing guangxu (1900), the Beijing Silver Dollar Bureau (Beijing Bureau) tried to mint a set of silver coins, with the denominations of Kuping seven coins and two cents, three dollars and six cents, one dollar four cents, seven cents two cents and three cents six cents, all of which were not circulated. The silver coin has a full middle of the silver coin and a Chinese "Guangxu Yuanbao", the outer upper edge of the bead circle is "made in Beijing Bureau" four characters, the lower edge is "coin value", and the left and right branches are divided into the two words "Gengzi"; the middle of the back is the plutonium dragon figure, the Outer Edge is divided into the English and denominations of "Beijing", and the left and right parts are decorated with plutonium curls. This set of silver coins has two kinds of original and post-minted coins, and the coin side number is the trial coin of the British Sheydon Mint. The coins minted by the Beijing Silver And Dollar Bureau are unnumbered, and the Kuping Seven Coins Two Cents, Three Cents six cents and Three Cents six cents coins were recreated by later generations with old molds.

At present, taipei Hongxi Art Museum has a "Beijing Bureau Manufacturing" Guangxu Yuan Treasure Treasury Ping Seven Cents Two Cents Light Edge Sample Coin, and there is a carver's self-numbered 950 on the side of the coin, which is the original minted trial coin of the British Heydon Mint. In 1900, due to the Gengzi Incident, the Beijing Silver Dollar Bureau was burned, so the inflow into the market was extremely rare, and it was for the silver dollar treasure. (In 2012, Guardian auctioned a "Made in Beijing Bureau" Gengzi Guangxu Yuan Baokuping for four cents and four cents, and the reserve price at the auction was: 200,000 yuan.) )
In the 30th year of the Qing Dynasty (1904), the Tianjin Hubu Mint Factory minted a set of Guangxu yuanbao with a face value of "two", with a total of five denominations, namely: Kuping one or two, Kuping five coins, Kuping two coins, Kuping one dollar and Kuping five points. The silver coin has the Chinese character "Guangxu Yuanbao" in the middle of the front, the manchu "Guangxu Yuanbao" on the upper edge of the outer edge of the bead circle, the value of the lower edge of the plutonium, and the word "Household" on the left and right;
The word "in" is one or two
On the back of the middle of the plutonium dragon figure, the outer edge of the plutonium In English, meaning "Guangxu Twenty-nine Years of Household", this set of silver coins is also a trial model coin, not in circulation. Among them, the "two" characters of the "Kuping one or two" silver coins are written in two ways, one is the "two" word from "person"; the other is the "two" word inside from "into".
In this set of trial silver coins, in addition to the "Kuping five points", the other four denominations are minted with gold sample coins, of which "Kuping one or two" gold sample coins, only 5 coins are minted, which is very precious. In addition, one or two coins were also found to have red copper-like coins, which are more rare. On August 25 this year, a "hubu one or two" gold sample coin was sold in Huaxia Guquan at a transaction price of 786,500 yuan.
(Note: This "Hubu one or two" gold coin is from an old collector in Taiwan, is the highest value of the gold coins in his collection, the coin may be a post-mint coin minted in the 1970s using the original mold, its bottom plate is delicate and smooth, with a small piece of pulp, but this feature is rarely found in gold coins, with a certain potential for appreciation.) This coin is also the original object of the "Catalogue of Silver Dollars of the Chinese Mechanism". )
