The day before yesterday, the reporter learned from the Nan'an Emergency Management Bureau that after investigation, the abnormal water temperature was caused by the failure and leakage of the old submersible pump in the well. The department reminds the villagers to regularly check the electricity consumption of their own wells and downhole equipment to prevent potential safety hazards such as aging and leakage of equipment.

On the 5th, Mr. Wang found that the water temperature of the well, which has been in use for many years, has suddenly increased in the past week, reaching 40 ° C, and there is still a layer of oil on the surface of the water. After receiving Mr. Wang's report, the staff of the Nan'an Emergency Management Bureau rushed to verify.
The staff looked at the wellhead, a hot gas rushed in, mixed with a smell of oil; a bucket of water was tried, the well water was somewhat hot, measured with a thermometer up to 38 ° C.
After surveying the surrounding situation, it was found that the water temperature in another well about 20 meters away from the well was normal, only 25 ° C, and no similar abnormal phenomena were found when visiting the surrounding masses.
The staff learned that there were two submersible pumps in the well for pumping water, one of which was an old submersible pump that had not been used for many years. At about 4 p.m. on the same day, someone found that the wire connected to the old submersible pump had a current passing through, and the line was hot, and the power supply of the line was cut off in time.
The staff preliminarily judged that the aging fault of the old submersible pump circuit, the leakage of electricity and oil, and the continuous heating of the well water in the long-term leakage state, resulting in an abnormal increase in water temperature.

On the same day, in order to further determine the cause, the staff checked the electricity consumption of the meter to which the old submersible pump belonged.
After investigation, from October 6 to 14, the daily electricity consumption was about 20-30 kWh; on the 27th, the daily electricity consumption was 41.55 kWh; from October 28 to November 4, the daily electricity consumption remained above 60 kWh.
The data shows that from October 27, the daily electricity consumption is significantly far more than usual, and the water temperature has shown a downward trend after the submersible pump is cut off. Based on this, the staff basically determined that the abnormal water temperature was caused by the failure and leakage of the old submersible pump in the well.
The staff asked that the old submersible pump be put away and that the temperature of the well water continue to be tracked, with the water temperature dropping to 35°C at noon on 6 November and 34°C at 6 p.m.
The day before yesterday, the reporter learned that Mr. Wang has drained the well water on the 8th, and the submersible pump that leaked electricity was taken out, and the water temperature was 25 ° C on the day of measurement, and the water temperature was measured again on the 10th as 28 ° C, and the water temperature of the surrounding wells was only 4 ° C. According to the analysis of experts, the increase in water temperature may be due to the residual heat after the well wall is heated for a long time, and the residual heat of the well wall still has a certain heating effect on the well water.
The staff of the Nan'an Emergency Management Bureau said that they will continue to pay attention to the follow-up situation, and remind the villagers to regularly check the electricity consumption of their own wells and underground equipment to prevent safety hazards such as aging and leakage of equipment; if abnormal phenomena are found, they should be reflected to the relevant departments in time, subject to expert determination, to avoid panic.
