The purple-backed reed flounder folded wings and the police joined forces to rescue them

Recently, after an enthusiastic mass rescued an injured sharp-billed bird, it was promptly sent to the huize County Public Security Bureau Patrol Special Police Brigade, and then the police sent the injured sharp-billed bird to the forest police brigade for rescue.

At 8:10 a.m. on November 4, a zealous crowd surnamed Zhang came to the No. 1 booth of the Huize County Public Security Bureau Patrol Special Police Brigade, and he brought a sharp-billed bird with injured wings. Mr. Zhang told the police that when he passed by the Middle Hippo Factory at work in the morning, he found a sharp-billed bird on the side of the road, and its wings had been injured and could not fly, so he had to send it to the guard post for help from the police. This bird has a peculiar appearance, a pointed and long mouth, and gorgeous feathers, unlike ordinary birds, and because it cannot fly, it makes low calls from time to time. In order to avoid the second injury of the pointed-billed bird, the police immediately found a handbag, carefully packed it in the bag, and then handed it over to the forest police brigade for treatment.

After identification, this pointed-billed bird is scientifically named purple-backed reed flounder (jiān), which is an animal of the heron family and reed flounder, with a body length of about 33 cm, which belongs to the national "three haves" protected animals and has important ecological, scientific and social value. Most of these animals live in rice fields, reeds, tidal flats and swamp meadows at the reservoirs and the foot of the mountain, and the food species are fish and shrimp, and in the middle and late stages of brooding, in addition to fish and shrimp, there are frogs, tadpoles, loaches and other aquatic insects.

Police tips: Everyone has the responsibility to protect wild animals, if you encounter injured wild animals, please contact the police in time so that they can be properly rescued.
