01 Literature recorded

The Book of Hetuluo, two mysterious patterns handed down from ancient China, contains the profound principle of cosmic astrology, known as the "Cosmic Cube", and is the source of Chinese culture and the five elements of yin and yang. The Confucians of the Han Dynasty believed that the river map was bagua, and the LuoShu was the Hongfan Nine Domains in the Book of Shang.

Heluo's words were first found in the Shangshu Gu Ming: "Great Jade, Yi Yu, Heavenly Sphere, River Map in the Eastern Order." ”

Also seen in the Analects of Zihan: "The phoenix birds do not arrive, the river does not come out of the map, I am already a husband!"

The Yi Zhi Zhi Shang has the saying: "The river is out of the map, Luo is out of the book, and the saint is out of it".

The "Guan Zi XiaoChen" says: "The recipient of the past people, the dragon and turtle false, the river out of the map, the Luo out of the book, the earth out of the yellow, the present Three Xiang has not seen the one." ”

Later, it was also mentioned many times in the works of Liu Xin, Kong Anguo, Yang Xiong, Ban Gu and others in the Han Dynasty. As for what the river map and the Luo Book really look like, there is no explicit statement in each book.

Until the Song Dynasty Zhu Xi's "Zhou Yi Original Intention", it appeared in the form of a diagram. In the early Song Dynasty, Chen Zhuo created the "Dragon Diagram Yi", absorbed the Han and Tang Dynasty Nine Palaces and the Five Elements Generated Numbers, and proposed a schema, the famous dragon diagram, that is, the river diagram, and the Western Shu hermit took Chen Zhuozhi's innate Taiji diagram as the river diagram. Liu Mu developed the Chen Dragon Diagram into two schemes: the River Diagram and the LuoShu Diagram, the Nine Palace Diagram as the River Diagram, the Five Elements Generative Diagram as the Luoshu, and the Southern Song Dynasty Zhu Zhen in the Zhou Yi Hanging Chart. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Cai Yuan fixed the Shu Qiu Map, calling the Nine Palace Diagram the Book of Luo, and the Five Elements Generating Diagram the River Diagram, which was first published in zhu Xi's Zhou Yi Benyi. The river map is the main complete, so the pole is ten, the luoshu main change, so the pole is nine, with ten river diagrams, nine numbers Luoshu.

02 Source Legends

Legend 1, during the ancient Fuxi clan, a dragon horse floated out of the Yellow River in Mengjin County, northeast of Luoyang, and carried a "river map" and dedicated it to Fuxi. Fu Xi evolved into Bagua according to this, and later became the source of "Zhou Yi". According to legend, during the time of Dayu, a divine turtle emerged from the Luo River in Luoyang's West Luoning County, carrying the "Book of Luo" and offering it to Dayu. Dayu succeeded in controlling the water according to this, so he divided the world into Kyushu.

Legend two, the warring states period history book "Bamboo Book Chronicle" said: Emperor Huang served in Zhonggong, written on top of Xuan Hu and falling water, and the southern historian Shen Yue wrote for the "Bamboo Book Chronicle", saying that the Yellow Emperor swam on the falling water to get books. It is said here that it is not Fuxi and Dayu who have obtained the Book of Hetuluo, but the Yellow Emperor. This is another edition of the Book of Hetuluo in Chinese history. The book "History of Yinyi" says that the Yellow Emperor crossed the river in the east, and the altar was sunk, that is, he threw a lot of jade and bi into the river, and then deluo book. He used the same method in the Yellow River to get the dragon map. The turtle book is in Luo, and the dragon is in the river. "Lu Shi Huangdi Ji": "The Yellow Emperor has xiongshi, helong Tufa, Luo Gui Shucheng ... Nai ChongKun thought that the head, the so-called "Guizang Yi" also. Hence the name gui Zang. ”

Legend three, these two books composed of black and white dots should be classified as Luo Shu, and the real river map is actually Tai Chi. The book of River Tuluo composed of black and white dots represents the evolution of the "Book of Luo" from four squares and five positions to five four dimensions.

03 River Tuluo Book and the Five Elements of Yin and Yang

It is said that the Book of River Tuluo was drawn according to the orientation of time and space, divided into four directions and five places, corresponding to five stars. The five stars are called five latitudes in ancient times, which are the five planets in the sky. Wood Star, Fire Star, Earth Star, Golden Star, Water Star. The five stars generally appear in the Arctic sky in the order of wood, fire, earth, metal and water, each star row for 72 days, and the five stars are 360 degrees a week. Jupiter is found in the east by the spring equinox in March, Mars by the summer solstice in July, Saturn in the middle of the sky in May, Venus in the autumn equinox in September, and Mercury in the north before the winter solstice in November, which is also the source of the Five Elements of Heluo. Among them, one or six of them live in the north, the heavens are born of water, the earth is 60%, the two seven are friends live in the south, the earth is two fire, the heavens are 70%, the three eight are friends live in the east, the heavens are born of wood, the earth is 80%, forty-nine is the friends who live in the west, the earth is born of gold, the heavens are ninety percent, the fifty tongde live in the center, the heavens are born of the earth, and the earth is ten percent. (One, two, three, four, and five are the numbers, and six, seven, eight, nine, and ten are the numbers).

The river map is divided into internal and external, the inner is the raw number, and the outer is the number. The river chart is defined as four square and five places, that is, east, west, south, north and middle, corresponding to five stars and five elements. One or six in the north is water, two or seven in the south is fire, forty-nine in the west is gold, three-eight in the east is wood, and fifty in the center is earth.

Because the northern aquatic eastern wood, the eastern wood produces the southern fire, the southern fire gives birth to the central soil, the central native western gold, the western gold produces the northern water, and the northern water is born in the eastern wood, and the cycle repeats, which is the river map left-handedly born.

Looking at the Book of Luo, the Book of Luo is divided into five digits and four dimensions, with the yang number as five and the yin number as the four dimensions. The number of Luo Shu is mainly odd, ranking in the position of the four positives, while the even number is in the position of the fourth dimension is subject to the odd number, which embodies the principle of yang and yin auxiliary (odd yang yin).

One or six in the north is water, two or seven in the west is fire, four and nine in the south are gold, three or eight in the east are wood, and five in the center are earth.

From the north to the right and phase gram relationship, water ke fire, fire ke jin, jin ke mu, mu ke tu, right rotation for a week, the cycle repeats, this is Luo Shu's right hand phase ke.

Therefore, the left rotation of the river chart is the five elements of symbiosis, the right rotation of the Luoshu is the five elements of the xiangke, and the book of hetuluo is the source of the five elements of yin and yang in Chinese culture, including the basic principles of numbers, yin and yang, five elements, orientation, and time and space.

The ancients divided the number into numbers and numbers, one, two, three, four, and five as numbers, and six, seven, eight, nine, and ten as numbers, that is, we call the water of the heavenly life, the earth is sixty percent, one is the number of births, and six is the number. The raw number is the basic number, and the base of five is the base, and the number is generated.

One, three, five, seven, and nine are odd and yang, and two, four, six, eight, and ten are even yin.

The river map is divided into internal and external, the inner is the raw number, and the outer is the number. The river chart is defined as four square and five places, that is, east, west, south, north and middle, corresponding to five stars and five elements. Black and white dots represent yin and yang, the five elements and the four elephants. There are fifty-five black and white dots in the river chart, representing the number of heaven and earth fifty-five, so the ancients said: The number of heaven and earth is fifty, that is, the number of heaven and earth is fifty-five, that is, the number of all things is incarnated from the number of heaven and earth. Where the white dot is singular, representing yang, and also represents the day, called the number of days. The black dot is an even number, representing the yin, and to represent the earth, it is called the number of the earth. In the river chart, the five elements each have a number of births and numbers, and the number of births of the five elements is the number of five elements, that is, one water, two fires, three woods, four gold and five earth, of which one three five are yang numbers, which add up to nine, two and four are yin numbers, and the sum is six, so nine is the yang pole and six is the yin pole. Therefore, in the I Ching, nine is used to indicate yang and six to represent yin. The number of river charts is tens, one and six are common, two and seven are the same way, three and eight are friends, four and nine are friends, and five and ten are the same virtue. One six is that the water points to the northern Xuanwu, the third eight is the wood points to the eastern green dragon, the second seven is the fire pointing to the southern suzaku, the fourth and nine are the gold pointing to the western white tiger, and the fifty is the earth pointing to the central space-time singularity. It is also said that the river map is originally a star map, and its use is geography, so it is an elephant in the sky and formed on the ground; in the sky, the elephant is the thirty-eight houses of the three walls, and in the earth, it is formed by the green dragon, white tiger, suzaku, Xuanwu, and Mingtang. The image of heaven is the wind for the qi, the shape of the earth is the dragon for the water, so it is feng shui; it is the luck of the stars, the qi of the terrain is also, so the four elephants and the four shapes are the qi of the five elements of heaven and earth; in addition, the earth is the yin in the middle, and the four elephants are yang in the outside, this is the principle of yin and yang inside and outside, the wood and fire phase are yang, the golden water phase is yin, the yin and yang, the water and fire are both yin and yang, and each of the five elements intersects yin and yang, and it is the principle of yin and yang mutual root; the middle earth is static, and the outer four elephants are moving, which is the principle of yin and yang movement; if the river picture is square and circular, the wood fire is yang, and the gold water is yin. Yin earth yang soil black and white fish eyes, this is the Taiji diagram (that is, the legend three), at this time the water is taiyin, fire is the sun, wood is less yang, gold is less yin, this is the four elephants of Taiji; so the river diagram is the use of yin and yang, the source of easy elephants. Luo Shu, Luo Shu is divided into five digits and four dimensions, with the yang number as five and the yin number as the four dimensions. In order to facilitate memory, the ancients summed up a set of tips, that is, wearing nine shoes one, left three right seven, two four for the shoulder, six eight for the foot, with five in the center.

Summary: In a river chart, in addition to the middle set of numbers, the sum of the even numbers of the four numbers under the vertical or horizontal is equal to the sum of the odd numbers, and the difference between the two numbers on the four sides or center is equal, and the difference is five.

In the book of Luo, the sum of the three numbers on the vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines is fifteen, and of the three numbers on each side of the four sides of the book, the difference between the two numbers is five.

Therefore, digitality and symmetry are the most direct and basic characteristics of the book of Hetuluo, and although the two are different, there is an inherent inevitable connection. The five elements of all things are produced in phase system, mainly to generate hair, which is the principle of innate, and the five elements of all things are controlled by each other, mainly to perish, which is the principle of the day after tomorrow. The river diagram is the body, the Luoshu is used; the river diagram is the main constant, the Luoshu is the main change; the river diagram overlaps, the Luoshu is re-divided; the square circle is hidden, the yin and yang are embraced, and each other is used. The numerical mystery of the River Tuluo Book and the principle of the Five Elements of Sheng Ke, in fact, the River Tuluo Book contains everything, far more than this.
