Through unremitting efforts, China has achieved the goal of eliminating absolute poverty, of which education and poverty reduction are very important measures. We should be more determined to promote girls' and women's education, strive to get more women a good education, and contribute to the realization of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. At present, the new crown pneumonia epidemic is still spreading around the world, and it is our common wish not to let a girl be left behind by the epidemic. We must unite and cooperate, increase investment, explore and innovate, and jointly cope with challenges.

The future of education can focus on helping people improve the ability of people to live in harmony with nature, the ability to live in harmony with people in different countries and different cultural backgrounds, and the ability to learn to innovate and use new technologies. Women are an important force in promoting the development of human civilization and creating a better future for mankind, and it is hoped that governments and more and more international organizations, non-governmental organizations and enthusiasts will actively take action to empower women through education, promote greater development of girls' and women's education, and inject a source of impetus into the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Peng Liyuan said that in 2015, China cooperated with UNESCO to establish the Girls' and Women's Education Award. In recent years, the award has continued to have a positive impact. China will continue to cooperate with UNESCO in organizing the second edition of the Girls' and Women's Education Award. As UNESCO's Special Envoy for girls' and women's education, I would like to continue to fulfill my mission and walk hand in hand with you so that more children and sisters have love in their hearts, light in their eyes and strength in their feet.
