The film of the first Chinese-American Hollywood film star, Anna May Wong, will be released on the big screen of the Oscar Museum on the 13th, 20th and 27th.

The Oscar Museum is about to launch the Beyond the Icon: Anna May Wong film screening series, which focuses on the museum's large screen on Chinese-American film stars Huang Liushuang's film masterpieces, including "Shanghai Express", "Butterfly on the Road", "The Dead of the Sea", "Chinatown Bustling Dream" and "Daughter of Shanghai" to thank her for her contributions to Hollywood.

The Oscar Museum will air the film "Shanghai Express" (1932) by Huang Liushuang at 7:30 p.m. on November 13. The film is set on a train traveling across the land of China, set during the Chinese Civil War. Nicknamed "Shanghai Lily", a woman who meets her old lover on the train, which leads to some stories. The film won the Best Cinematography Award at the 5th Academy Awards in 1932 and was nominated for Best Picture and Best Director.

"Pavement Butterfly" (1929) aired at 9:30 p.m. on the 13th. The film was the work of Huang Liushuang when she first arrived in Europe, and her performance in this film shocked the European film industry at that time.

At 7:30 p.m. on November 20, the silent film "The Toll of the Sea" (1922) starring Huang Liushuang was broadcast, which made Huang Liushuang famous and became a hit, and successively ventured into different acting fields such as silent films, sound films, stage plays, and TV series.

On November 27 at 7.30pm, the British silent film "Piccadilly" (1929), starring Huang Liushuang, will be screened, telling the story of a calculating little woman. Huang Liushuang played the calculating little woman into three points.

At 10 p.m. on the 27th, the film "Daughter of Shanghai" (1937), starring Huang Liushuang, will be screened. The film tells the story of a Chinese-American woman who tries to bravely expose the illegal smuggling of foreign rings, and Huang Liushuang's character shows a positive Chinese image.

As the first Chinese-American Hollywood actress Huang Liushuang, born in Los Angeles in 1905, she knew from a very young age that she wanted to enter Hollywood. Her original name was Wong Liu Tsong, she had the stage name Anna May Wong at the age of 11, skipped class as an extra as a teenager, and began starring in the movie The Toll of the Sea (1922) at the age of 17.

Although Huang Liushuang was internationally successful as an Asian-American star of her time, her career was not easy. Time and time again, she was cast into stereotypical roles or relegated to supporting roles, eventually leading her to leave the United States for Europe, where her career flourished. When she returned to Hollywood in the 1930s, Hollywood continued to assign roles by genre, leaving her with constant frustration. However, films like the film Daughter of Shanghai (1937) gave Huang Liushuang greater satisfaction in her career. She continued to play different Asian-American roles until her death in 1961.
