After Dong Zhuo's death, Cao Cao was able to blackmail tianzi to order the princes to gradually unify the north. However, in fact, there is a more critical woman in the history of the Three Kingdoms, who can even influence the fate of the entire Three Kingdoms and rewrite the history of the Three Kingdoms.
This woman is Wu Guotai, don't get excited, and listen to the author slowly.

Wu Guotai's husband is Sun Jian, and her sister is Mrs. Wu. That is to say, Wu Guotai and his sister Lady Wu married Sun Jian as his wife. Sun Ce and Sun Quan were born to Lady Wu, and Lady Wu died early, basically Sun Ce and Sun Quan were raised by Wu Guotai, so Sun Ce and Sun Quan both had great respect for Wu Guotai, although they were aunts, they regarded them as their own mothers.
She rarely participates in political affairs, but her speech is very weighty, and Sun Quan basically obeys her and does not dare to disobey. That is to say, if she speaks on which side, Sun Quan will definitely stand on which side.
In ancient times, "peace" has always been the most effective means of consolidating the power of both sides, and it is also the favorite use of many emperors. From the Spring and Autumn Period to the Qing Dynasty in China, almost all dynasties have had "peace and affinity".
During the Three Kingdoms period, Sun Liu united against Cao and defeated Cao's army at Chibi, and Later Jingzhou was acquired by Liu Bei. In order to return to Jingzhou, Sun Quan used his sister as bait to lure Liu Bei into Eastern Wu, and wanted to use this as a blackmail to return to Jingzhou. Unexpectedly, Zhuge Liang made a small plan, and Sun Quan lost his sister and folded the army. However, Sun Quan's sister Sun Ren (Sun Shangxiang) is just a tool man, and his words have no weight. Sun Quan would not listen to her, Liu Bei would not listen to her, she was destined to be just an ordinary woman. But if the object of the peace is Wu Guotai, then the situation is completely different.
In terms of age, Sun Jian was six years older than Liu Bei. And Wu Guotai is Sun Jian's little wife. That is to say, the age is similar to Liu Bei, and it may not even be as old as Liu Bei. So it's appropriate for age.
In terms of identity, Liu Bei was the emperor's uncle, the future emperor of Shu Han, and he did not insult the reputation of Wu Guotai.
In a strategic sense, in fact, for Liu Bei, the combination with Sun Shangxiang was a political marriage, but it did not play any role. Sun Quan still wants Jingzhou every day, and Sun Liu's alliance is still like paper, breaking as soon as it is stabbed. Marrying Wu Guotai is very different. The two families are united, Boss Cao is estimated to have a headache, die earlier, the three kingdoms have long been unified, and there is no need to be so troublesome. It's just that Sun Quan's side is a bit unable to accept it, not only jingzhou will not come back, but maybe the whole of Eastern Wu will have to be used as a dowry.

In terms of age, Cao Cao and Sun Jian were the same age, and Wu Guotai was younger than him, which was in line.
In terms of identity, Cao Cao was the chancellor of the Han Dynasty, and later the King of Wei, the actual leader of the State of Wei, and did not wrongfully aggrieved Wu Guotai.
In a strategic sense, if Cao Cao's Battle of Chibi was for Big Qiao and Little Qiao, it would actually arouse Zhou Yu's hatred. But if Cao Cao could marry Wu Guotai, the Battle of Chibi would not have to be fought. Just as Cao Cao's edict said, he hunted with Sun Quan. And Cao Cao also said that "having a son should be like Sun Zhongmou", which shows that he still hopes to have such a son. The two "fathers and sons" united, and Liu Beizhong had talents like Zhuge Liang who were also weak. Cao Cao united with Sun Quan and soon unified the world, and the Three Kingdoms would not have to be in turmoil for so many years. It's just that for Sun Quan, there is one more "father".
In other respects, Cao Cao was originally a good wife. If Guo Jia is still there, give him this suggestion, he will probably adopt it, right?
In ancient China, different dynasties and marriage systems were different. Before the Song Dynasty, it was relatively common for women to remarry. In the Song Dynasty, due to the influence of "Cheng Zhu Lixue", women's chastity was more important, and to a certain extent, women's freedom was imprisoned, but remarriage was still allowed and advocated. And Liu Bei and Cao Cao, as heroes of the world, will not be wronged by marrying any of them. Sun Quan himself was a junior in front of Cao Cao and Liu Bei, and if Wu Guotai and Cao Liu really achieved marriage, it would not be too much for Sun Quan to call his father, right?
After watching the Three Kingdoms for so many years, it was only today that I suddenly found that the person who controlled the fate of the Three Kingdoms was not Cao Cao, not Liu Bei, not Sun Quan, not Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu and others, but Wu Guotai. A seemingly inconspicuous woman, but truly in control of the fate of the Three Kingdoms. Whether she marries Liu Bei or Cao Cao, perhaps her words will greatly accelerate the process of the unification of the Three Kingdoms, and will also save the people from the pain of war of displacement and family destruction.
