The night before, the "Actor's Life - Dialogue with Nakadai Tatsuya" event was held at the China Film Archive.

In the No. 1 Screening Hall of the Information Center that night, more than 600 seats were all filled with admiring audiences, and many fans sat on the steps and aisles, and when the white-haired Nakadai Tatsuya walked to the stage, the applause of the audience continued. In his more than 60 years of acting career, Tatsuya Nakayo's performances have covered stage plays, movies, TV series, etc., and he has cooperated with famous Japanese directors such as Akira Kurosawa, Masaki Kobayashi, and Hero Gosha, and well-known film history classics such as Shadow Warrior, Chaos, Cut Belly, and Great Bodhisattva Ridge are his masterpieces. Its performance style is bold and clear, unique in the Japanese film industry, and is deeply loved by the audience.

"Hello! I am Japanese actor Tatsuya Nakayo. With so many enthusiastic audiences today, I feel very excited and happy, and I was embarrassed to say that I was sorry, but since I have such a good opportunity, I will share my story with you. Tatsuya Nakadai first briefly recalled his career as an actor, born in 1932, and studied for three years at the training institute at the age of 17 in order to become an actor.

"The first time I met director Akira Kurosawa was in the second grade of acting school, when I was eighteen or nineteen years old. He was filming Seven Samurai, and at school, Akira Kurosawa and Toshiro Mifune were our idols. One day, Akira Kurosawa came to school to audition for an actor. Before that, I auditioned for 9 films and all of them were brushed off. In the film, I play the villager who goes to rescue the soldiers, which is a relatively weak image, there are no lines, just walking. That day, I started shooting at 9 a.m., but the director always said no. Because I was a fledgling young cadet, the wig was worn unruly, and the posture of walking and sabre was not correct. The director ordered that he should not give the boy food and let him go all the time. As a result, it was filmed at three o'clock in the afternoon, and it still did not pass. At that time, Akira Kurosawa angrily rebuked me, 'Where are you from?' Didn't your school even teach you the pace of a samurai? This sense of humiliation is still deeply remembered in my mind. It was my first step as an actor. Nakayo Tatsuya said that later he received the movie "Conditions on Earth" and vowed in his heart that he would never take Akira Kurosawa's film again. As a result, six years later, Akira Kurosawa actually recognized him and asked him to shoot "Heart Stick". After a long time, Tatsuya Nakayo finally plucked up the courage to mention the old story of the filming of "Seven Samurai", and Akira Kurosawa replied, "I thought you were a promising young man, so I wanted to be strict with you." ”

At the age of 51, Tatsuya Nakadai received one of the most important works of his life, "Chaos", in which he played a king in his 80s who spent 4 hours a day just putting on makeup and applying his hair. In his view, it is an "immortal masterpiece" about the war between father and son. "The film shows God looking at man in heaven and what a despicable animal man is. We can also think of it as an anti-war movie. ”

In addition to his outstanding achievements in film and television, Tatsuya Nakadai has been active on the stage for many years, and even after becoming a big star, he still insists on constantly creating on the stage. He also set up a training class with his wife to teach performances for free, which has been adhered to to this day. Talking about why he has a special love for the stage, Tatsuya Nakadai said that his initial ambition was to become a stage actor, but because of the chance to act in the film and got a good evaluation, the film continued to squeeze out the stage time. To this end, he set a rule for himself to ensure that half of the time is performed in stage plays every year: the first half of the film, the second half of the year, even if it is just a dragon set, to perform stage plays. "I firmly believe that if an actor leaves the stage for a long time, his acting skills will be reduced." His self-evaluation strikes a perfect balance between film and television and stage productions.

In terms of Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges, Nakadai Tatsuya has also left several deep imprints. At the beginning of the lecture, he fondly recalled his experience of coming to China four times: "When I came to China as a representative of Japanese filmmakers, it was the first time I had contact with China; the second time was to participate in the Visit to China by a Japanese film delegation; the third time, I walked the Silk Road at my own expense; and the fourth time, I came to China in two trips for the Sino-Japanese co-production of the TV series "Children of the Earth". He said he was very happy that he "loved China very much" and welcomed him with an open heart. For the sake of Sino-Japanese friendship, he will continue to play a role.

In 1995, the TV series "Children of the Earth" premiered. In this drama about orphans in war, Tatsuya Nakadai and Chinese actor Zhu Xu, a Japanese biological father who plays the protagonist, and a Chinese adoptive father, have had a wonderful cooperation. Zhongdai Daya commented that Zhu Xu not only has superb acting skills, but also his personality charm is also very admirable to him. "He passed away last year and I feel very sorry. But I saw him when he visited Japan the year before and shook hands with him, which made me feel a little relieved. ”

When asked by the audience about the actor's professional practice, Tatsuya Nakadai shared some of his acting experiences. He believes that for stage actors, mental and physical strength is very important, in general, the high tension of the actors on the first day of the performance will make them highly concentrated and present a good effect, but often the more they go back, the more lax they are, so the actors need a long time to train. "As an actor, it is very hard to understand the inner world of the character when receiving the script, extracting his inner things, combining with himself, and then showing it."

Tatsuya Nakayo said that there is a word in Japanese that means "absurd", and he believes that the profession of actor is full of absurdity, "sometimes I feel very happy, but the audience feels that this is not the case at all." He asked three questions to discuss with the audience. First, actors have to think about whether they have innate talents and talents. Second, if there is an opportunity to perform, can you keep your love from beginning to end and sprint your career all your life? Third, does the actor have feelings for people and human nature? He believes that actors need to have the ability to "love people" and understand the character from the perspective of the character, so that "his soul can be possessed by you".

Tatsuya Nakadai said that although he is more than eighty years old, he is still thinking about drama and wants to continue to act. Pu Cunxin, a guest at the event, revealed that in the second half of this year, Zhongdai Daya will rehearse Molière's "Hypocrites", and Beijing Renyi has issued an invitation to him, hoping that they can come to China to perform, and Zhongdai Daya responded that this matter "can be considered".
