On June 18, "Spring Tide", one of the three Chinese-language films shortlisted for the Golden Jubilee Award at this year's Shanghai International Film Festival, premiered at Shanghai Cinema. Director Yang Lina lasted five years to provide the audience with a "tender history" that tells the life and inner waves of three generations of women in a family.

"Spring Tide" tells the story of Guo Jianbo, a newspaper reporter played by Hao Lei, and Ji Minglan, a mother played by Jin Yanling, living under the same roof with her daughter Guo Wanting. The three generations of grandchildren have different personalities, the mother is outgoing, enthusiastic, and loved, but when she returns home, she sentences the two; Guo Jianbo has a strong personality, and while reporting negative social events, she also bravely unveils her inner "scars"; and her daughter Guo Wanting learned various rules of survival in the adult world at a young age. The seemingly peaceful relationship between the three people is actually full of contradictions, and under the inadvertent friction and collision again and again, a silent "war" has completely broken out between the three generations.

This is a film from a completely female perspective, and before the film officially met with the audience, director Yang Lina wrote a letter to "Spring Tide", in which she talked about her caring for women and the original intention of creation. "In our education, school and mother will not tell you how different women and men are, it is people who are aware of their female identity in middle age, and begin to think about the root of the exploration except for half the sky, the macro concept of gender equality, it can be said that life makes me a feminist caregiver, I am willing to use the limited memory time machine of the movie to introduce more female characters that I am familiar with, to look at the surroundings from their perspective, their beauty and sorrow, and to bear the responsibility of writing in the past and future life history of each family." 」
Hao Lei commented that "Spring Tide" is "a movie that can be watched with my mother". In the film, the accurate portrayal of the family relationship between two mothers and daughters and three generations of women has explored the problems of the original family and reflected on social issues.
