Luo Ronghuan's former residence is located in Nanwan Village, Ronghuan Town, Hengdong County, Hengyang City, and is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and a national key cultural relics protection unit. The former residence, also known as the Ancestral Hall, was built in the 3rd year of the Republic of China (1914). In the first half of 1915, the 13-year-old Luo Ronghuan and his family moved here from the new house, and until April 1927, he left his hometown to embark on the revolutionary road, where he spent 12 spring and autumn intermittently. In recent years, based on the construction of patriotic education bases, the memorial hall has achieved good results in display and exhibition, publicity and education, co-construction and sharing, collection and protection and utilization of cultural relics and free open management. After more than ten years of construction and improvement, the base has formed a red tourist scenic spot integrating education, visits and commemoration, and has become an important place for patriotic education and national defense education in our city and even the whole province.
