Nicole Katano: Capture the invisible beauty of nature
author:Swallow photography
There are many photographers who shoot flowers, and many of them do well, but Nicole Katano's works are still recognizable at first sight: fresh, elegant, with a feminine delicacy and femininity. Looking closely is not just a visual pleasure, as the photographer himself says: "The ultimate goal is not to tell people what they see or think, but to make them feel." ”
Nicole's images explore the passage of time and the depth of experience, bringing people closer to nature. She usually grows plants from seeds and then watches them and takes pictures of them in their various cycles. Then, using Photoshop, combine a single image into a multi-layered composition.
These works cause us to slow down, observe quietly, carefully and take a deep breath, as if capturing a moment in time when the attention to the magic and mysteries that nature offers will inspire us to reflect on the invisible beauty around us.
"My work revolves around my camera's ability to isolate tiny fragments of time and space in a way that allows observers to examine those ephemeral details more consciously."
Every morning, Nicole walks into her garden and meditates on the peace and beauty she has. Here she captures the images she uses in her work and uses "selective focus" to guide the viewer's eyes. She hopes that the viewer can be with her in the garden and feel its peace and balance.
These works are like a symphony reminiscent of femininity, subtlety, mystery and beauty, encouraging us to contemplate the many gifts that nature offers that are not normally seen. Echoing these lovely plants, it is the images that reveal curiosity about time and place. They are dramatic, allowing us to feel the exquisite calm and experience the invisible beauty that nature often offers.
