The TV version of the anime "White Box" will be broadcast for free on Niconico Broadcast

The new theatrical anime SHIROBAKO will be released in Japan on February 29, 2020. To celebrate the release of the theatrical version of the anime, the TV version of the anime "White Box" will be broadcast for free at the same time on Niconico Broadcasting.

The anime White Box is an original anime created by P.A.WORKS. The anime aired from October 2014 to March 2015 with a total of 24 episodes. The animation is a group portrait drama centered on five women working in the animation industry, depicting the inside story of animation production.

In the Niconico broadcast, episodes 1 to 12 of the TV anime White Box will start playing at 19:00 on February 29, and episodes 13 to 24 will start playing at 19:00 on March 1.

The theatrical version of the story takes place four years after the TV version of the anime story. Aoi Miyamori is still busy with her daily work at Musashino Animation Studio. After a morning meeting, Hayabusa Watanabe told Aoi that she would be in charge of the production of a new theatrical version of the anime. The production of the theatrical version encountered unexpected problems, and Aoi was not sure whether the company could produce theatrical animation in its current state. At this time, a new colleague named Kaede Miyai joined the team to complete the production of the theatrical version with the team.
