The source is the whole grass of the rosaceae plant Trifoliaceae. In summer, the whole grass that flowers are harvested and dried in the sun.

It is a perennial herb in its original form, about 30 cm tall. The main root is short and thick, shaped like a bee, and the whiskers are mostly rooted. The stems are slender and soft, sometimes creepy; they are hairy. 3 compound leaves; the leaflets of the basal leaves are oval, rectangular or obliquely ovate, 1.5 to 5 cm long and 1 to 2 cm wide, wedge-shaped at the base, bluntly serrated at the edges, near the full edge of the base, and there are dense soft hairs along the leaf veins below; the petiole is slender and has soft hairs; the stem leaflets are smaller, the petiole is short or absent; the leaves are ovate and hairy. Total polygonal inflorescence, apical; total peduncle and peduncle with soft hairs; small bracts on the peduncle; small flowers, few, diameter 10 to 15 mm, yellow; paracalyx 5, linear lanceolate, calyx 5, ovate lanceolate, outer hairy; petals 5, inverted ovate, slightly concave at the apex; stamens majority, pistil majority, peduncle lateral; flower tray slightly hairy. The fruit is small, yellow, ovate, glabrous, with small wrinkles. Flowering period is from April to May.

Habitat segments grow on sunny slopes or roadside grasses. Distributed in Sichuan, Hunan, Hebei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and other places.
