Suns coach Monty Williams was interviewed by the media during today's training session.
Speaking about my upbringing as a manager, Monti said: "I heard a lot about my first coaching in New Orleans, I heard things like that from the players and the staff, and for me, it was trying to find something I needed to change so that I could not only be a good coach, but also be a person who others would like to work with outside of basketball. ”
'I feel like when I first coached in New Orleans, I was too focused on winning and coaching, and sometimes the players may feel like I'm being too them and I'm trying to get my message across in a more empathetic way now, which is probably my growth.' Monty said.
"But maybe you should ask Chris [Paul], I worked with him in New Orleans and I'm with him now, I may have been stupid then, maybe still stupid, but I don't mind." Monty continued.
