Who in the world can unknowingly pack 7 diamonds? After careful investigation, the task force set its sights on Jia Mou, a male salesman who had only been employed for 7 months and left in June 2020. Through further investigation of Jia, the police found that since January last year, he has repeatedly purchased high-imitation diamonds in the online store.
After learning of this key clue, the special case team immediately sent personnel to Guangdong and Guangxi to verify the relevant information of the high-imitation diamonds purchased and processed by Jia, and confirmed that the specifications of the 7 high-imitation diamonds purchased and processed by Jia were exactly the same as the stolen diamonds of the jewelry company. The police seized 6 real diamonds in the suspect's home
On the evening of December 30 last year, the special case team successfully arrested the criminal suspect Jia Mou in a residential area of Laiting South Road, Jiuting Town, Songjiang District, Shanghai, according to clues.
After arriving at the case, Jia initially denied the theft of the company's diamonds, but in the face of ironclad evidence, he finally confessed the facts of the crime. According to Jia, in January 2020, Jia Mou, who was still a jewelry company salesman, started the idea of the company's natural diamonds because of greed for money, and he used the opportunity to sort out the company's internal diamonds to collect the corresponding information such as the model and specifications of the corresponding diamonds, and then successively customized 7 "Mosan diamonds" of the same specifications through online shopping, and engraved similar codes. Between April and June 2020, he took advantage of his position to sort out the diamond inventory in the company and made three adjustments to the corresponding diamonds, and finally stole seven natural diamonds ranging from 1.5 to 6 carats. As soon as he succeeded, he left his job. Subsequently, Jia sold a 1.5-carat diamond to a second-hand luxury online store for 93,800 yuan, and the stolen money has been squandered by Jia.
After an all-out search by investigators, the remaining 6 diamonds were all seized in Jia's home. At present, the criminal suspect Jia Mou has been criminally detained by the Qingpu police in accordance with the law for suspected crimes of embezzlement of office, and the case is under further investigation.
