The Sui Gong Emperor Yang You (605–619), a native of Hongnong Huayin (present-day Huayin, Shaanxi), was the third emperor of the Sui Dynasty (reigned 617–618). Grandson of Yang Guang, Emperor of the Sui Dynasty, third son of Yang Zhao, Prince of Yuande, and his mother was Consort Wei. Since childhood, he has been intelligent and has extraordinary temperament. He was initially enfeoffed as King Chen, and later as The Acting King. When the Sui Emperor personally conquered Goguryeo, he stayed in Chang'an.

In the eleventh year of Daye (615), he accompanied the Sui Emperor on his tour of Jinyang, worshiped Taiyuan Taishou, and stayed in the capital division. In the thirteenth year of Daye (617), Li Yuan invaded Chang'an, was proclaimed emperor, and changed his name to Yuan Yining. In the second year of Yining (618), he was deposed by Li Yuan, demoted to the title of Duke of Guanguo, and lived in Chang'an. In the second year of Wu De (619), he died at the age of fifteen and was buried in Zhuangling with the title of Emperor Gong.

Born in the first year of Daye (605), Yang You was the grandson of Yang Guang, the Sui Emperor, the third son of Yang Zhao, the Prince of Yuande, and his mother Consort Wei. Yang You has been intelligent since childhood and has an extraordinary temperament. In the third year of Daye (607), he was crowned king of Chen. Later, he was renamed as the Acting King, and there were 10,000 households in Yiyi. When the Sui Emperor personally conquered Goguryeo, he ordered Yang You to stay in Chang'an (present-day Xi'an, Shaanxi). In the eleventh year of Daye (615), Yang You followed the Sui Emperor on his tour of Jinyang (present-day Taiyuan, Shanxi) and paid homage to Taiyuan Taishou. Soon, the town guarded the Beijing Division.

On May 15, 617, in the thirteenth year of Daye (617), Li Yuan raised an army at Jinyang (present-day Taiyuan, Shanxi), and on the ninth day of November of the same year, he invaded the Sui capital Daxing (present-day northwest of Xi'an, Shaanxi). On November 16 (December 18, 617), Li Yuanyao honored Emperor Sui as Emperor Taishang and proclaimed Yang You as emperor. On the same day, Yang You officially ascended the throne at the Daxing Hall and changed his era name to "Yining". Yang You was nominally emperor, but in reality he was no more than a puppet of Li Yuanfuli. It was only when the time was not ripe to seize the throne and become emperor that Li Yuan did not dare to act hastily.

In March of the second year of Yining (618), the Sui Emperor died in the Jiangdu Mutiny. When the news came, Li Yuan saw that the time was ripe to claim the title of emperor, so on May 14 of the same year (June 12, 618), he forced Yang You to abdicate, proclaimed himself emperor, and changed the name of the country to Tang, and Li Yuan was Tang Gaozu. Yang You was demoted to the title of Duke of Guoguo and lived idly in Chang'an. Yang You reigned for only 177 days.

On May 12, 619 , the second year of Wu De ( 619 ) ( both the New Book of Tang and the Zizhi Tongjian were written on the first day of August , that is , September 14 , 619 CE ) , Yang You fell ill and died (killed ) at the age of 15 , with the title Emperor Gong , and was buried in Zhuangling ( 500 meters south of The Village of Rutai , Yanghong Township , Qianxian County , Shaanxi Province ) . After the death of Emperor Gong of Sui, Yang You, he had no heirs and was enfeoffed as the Duke of Guoguo with his son Yang Xingji.

Emperor Yang You of Sui was buried in Zhuangling after his death. Zhuangling is located in Qianxian County, Shaanxi Province, Yanghong Township, 500 meters south of The village, for the flat ground to raise the mound, the sealing soil is covered in the shape of a bucket, its shape scale is larger than the Jingling Tomb, rammed earth and built, the circumference is about 200 meters, the ground has no buildings, there are obvious robbery holes in the west of the sealed soil.
