Yaojiashan is the gateway to the north of Huangpi, connecting Dawu in the north and Xiaochang in the west, and is the seat of the administrative organs of the New Fifth Division during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, known as the "First Village of the Wuhan War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression", a strategic place that historically spans the five provinces of Hubei, Yu, Anhui, Xianggan, and Gansu, and is also the seat of the administrative organs of the New Fifth Division and the party and government organs of the Eyu Border Region during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and is the place where the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries lived and fought during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. The students visited the Ideological and Political Department of the Fifth Division of the New Fourth Army, the former site of the Machinery Factory, the former residences of Li Xiannian and Chen Shaomin, and the Historical Memorial Hall, listened to the narrators explain the stories of the Red Revolution, and viewed a large number of historical pictures and precious cultural relics. Xu Jingwen, a student of the 19th grade outstanding class, said that through retaking the revolutionary road, we have a deep understanding of the party's combat history and profound revolutionary spirit, learn and feel the arduous struggle course and touching deeds of the older group of revolutionary ancestors, cherish today's beautiful life even more, study hard, and serve the motherland.
