Huang Tang and her family

Huang Tang a family

(Excerpt)

The name "Huangtang" looks good, with grass and wood.

According to her mother, He Qiu, her name is borrowed from the great name of a previous essayist. The essayist's name was Huang Bao, someone her mother admired very much when she was young. When her mother was very young, she once caught up with Huang Bao to sign and sell books, and lined up for about twenty minutes before coming to Huang Bao. Huang Bao asked her name very gently, and she told him that He Qiu, he wrote eight words on the title page of his prose collection, "Title He Qiu Little Friend Huang Shou". That year was 1956, he Qiu was twelve years old, and Huang Qiu's prose was integrated into one of He Qiu's most important books. Nine years later, He Qiu's daughter was born, and her husband specially asked Mr. Feng Shui to calculate it, saying that this little girl was destined to be missing wood, and the name must be filled with wooden characters. The husband just happened to be surnamed Huang, and He Qiu did not hesitate to give his daughter the name "Huang Tang".

They all say that the name is related to the fate of a person's life, and I don't know if this is credible or not.

Huang Tang's mother, He Qiu, was a pillar of the city's critic troupe, singing Qingyi when she was young, and changing her age to older Dan. Before the "Cultural Revolution," "Liu Qiao'er" and "Flowers as Media," in those years of the "Cultural Revolution," Li Tiemei, Ah Qingyi, Jiang Shuiying, and Ke Xiang were sung, and after the reform and opening up, she was sung by Grandma She Taijun and Grandma Liu. She was on stage with a variety of styles, sharp teeth and straight words; when she got offstage, she was silent and hardly talked to anyone. She is the kind of more sinister personality, and no one around her can see her heart.

She was twenty-one when she gave birth to Huang Tang. The words she had not said in her stomach all her life were passed on to Huang Tang, and the moment Huang Tang came out of her mother's stomach, her voice was loud, and as long as she was awake, the cries and cries were incessant, and there were few quiet times. The mother's sharp teeth on the stage, Huang Tang has been fully inherited in daily life. When she was eleven months old, she could open her mouth and call her parents, grandparents, and grandparents, and everyone was overjoyed.

He Qiu's performance task is quite heavy, so he spends the least time with his daughter. Often when he goes out, Huang Tang is still dreaming, and when he enters the house, his daughter has already walked into sleep again. Therefore, Huang Tang called his mother the least. She called her dad the most, then grandma and grandpa (who lived with their family of three at the time), and then grandparents (who lived in their own unit three hundred meters away). Being called less by his daughter may be a blessing for He Qiu, because from the later results, the person who called Huang Tang the most was also the first person to die.

Huang Tang's father died in a car accident when she was four years old, her grandmother died of gas poisoning when she was nine years old, and her grandfather died of a work injury when she was ten years old. Even more coincidentally, the dates of the grandparents' deaths were one year apart, the same day.

Huang Tang's grandfather died of stomach cancer when she was seventeen, and her grandmother died of cerebral hemorrhage on her twenty-first birthday.

He Qiu then had a little superstition, her daughter was a broom star, it was her daughter's poisonous tongue that killed her father, grandmother, grandfather, and grandmother. She herself was spared only because her daughter did not have many opportunities to call her mother.

It was an extremely secret thought of hers, and she hadn't said it to anyone, she had just written it down in her diary. Perhaps when she wrote these words, she had already anticipated that the diary would be spied on by Huang Tang sooner or later, and she deliberately wrote down these words to let her daughter know her thoughts, so that her daughter hated her because of it. If not, she could have written them off the paper, and written them down with more than a hundred chances to tear those words off and rush them into the sewers. No, she didn't, she let those words stay in her diary.

Huang Tang followed his grandparents when he was young, and although his mother would come back every night, there were not many opportunities for their mother and daughter to meet. It is also because the opportunity to meet is too small, Huang Tang and her mother are quite strange, even if they meet, she does not take the initiative to call her mother. After her grandmother's death, Huang Tang was sent to the school by her mother, and Huang Tang's uncle took her grandfather, so she did not see him in her grandfather's last year. For Huang Tang, she was at the same time as her grandmother and grandfather and said goodbye forever.

Huang Tangda has been a class cadre since the first grade of primary school, and he has also been a class cadre in junior high school and high school, and has become a student union cadre at the next level of college. But she didn't hold a full-time job, not even a deputy, she was a member of the Recreation Committee; she was called the Minister of Arts and Arts in the university student council. She belongs to the genre of being able to sing and dance lively and cute, especially good at imitation, no matter who she learns, she learns it perfectly.

When she was a child, the most acclaimed was to learn her mother, who played who she learned. Mom has always been a treasure in the family, not only dad spoils mom, grandparents and grandparents also pet mom. It is no wonder that her mother is a big star in the city, a veritable idol in civilian society, and all the people spoil her, not to mention her husband, her mother-in-law, her father and mother. And Huang Tang learned from his mother and learned like, and it is strange that the family is not applauded.

Huang Tang remembers very clearly that when she was studying her mother's Sister-in-law, she integrated the performance of Hong Xuefei in the Peking Opera "Sha Jiabang" seen in the movie, especially the unique skill of the eyeballs turning left and right, which made the adults laugh a lot; but her mother's face was not with the slightest smile, but hid a little resentment. Huang Tang has known how to observe words and colors since she was a child, she did not ask her mother in front of others, and she only asked her questions to her mother when there were only two people. At that time, my mother's anger had subsided, but she only said that commentary was art, and that the things in other arts could not be randomly stuffed in, "commentary is commentary, Peking opera is Peking opera, each is each." Huang Tang did not approve of her mother's statement from her heart, but she would not speak out of her heart. She stared into her mother's eyes with a childish look on her face and nodded.

Dad spoiled her when she was alive, and so did her grandparents. But when her mother was not satisfied with or unhappy with her, her father first coaxed her mother, and her grandparents also blamed her for making her mother angry. Such a situation makes Huang Tang know who is the boss of the family when he is young, and it is her mother who is not her.

Every little child knows that there are two worlds, one at home and one outside. The world at home is not Huang Tang's, and this is not subject to Huang Tang's will; for at the time of her birth, the pattern had been determined. If she wants to have her own world, she must fight for it herself, which is the goal she has set for herself since she understood things. The reason why she was able to remain a cadre all the time stemmed from this.

The major in college was administration, which was a very new subject at the time. The reason why she jumped from her original education major was that she had a hazy premonition that it was a potential and promising profession, because those four words themselves meant becoming an official. No one specifically taught her, she understood from a very young age that this is an official-based society, officials are the first, and other occupations must be ranked after officials, including bosses. Because it is a new discipline, the configuration of the curriculum also has the meaning of temporary clinging to the Buddha's feet, so she has not glimpsed the doorway of the official in the past four years. She was a little lost.

In fact, she didn't have much reason to complain about her college days, because in the first half of her first year, she was out of school due to illness, and the break was six months. The diagnosis book for the school read "Immune System Syndrome," and in fact she spent five of those months through her first apparent pregnancy, followed by a full moon. The disease diagnosis was made for her by the man who got her pregnant. It was early winter when she went back to school, and halfway through the second semester of first grade. She recovered well, and none of the girls in her dorm room suspected that she had given birth. She weighed a little more than six or seven pounds when she took time off (she would have been three and a half months pregnant), which is quite common in girls in late adolescence.

For more than three years, she never showed herself naked in front of the girls in the same dormitory, let alone bathed in the same bathhouse. After all, stretch marks are unavoidable by every mother, and there is no effective way to eliminate them, it will reveal a woman's biggest secret; only time can finally eliminate it. Her stretch marks were relatively light, and after five years there were basically no traces.

Huang Tang was only nineteen years old when he gave birth to Qi Jiabao. Qi Jiabao followed her father until she was eleven years old, when his father died of drug addiction.

Huang Tang is one of the few women who successfully concealed the fact that she had children when she was young, and she not only concealed her classmates and girlfriends, but even her later husband. When she married him, he even thought she was a virgin. So when she took Qi Jiabao (eleven years old) to face him, he was so surprised that his eyeballs almost fell out of his eyes. She was already pregnant with his second child, their son Hong Kaiyuan, and their daughter, Hong Jingping, who was five years old.

Huang Tang's husband, Hong Jinjiang, is a clerk in the Secretarial Section of the General Office of the Municipal Government. Later, he was the deputy section chief and section chief; then the deputy mayor's secretary; the deputy mayor was promoted to the mayor, and he became the mayor's secretary; and when the mayor retired, he became the deputy secretary-general of the general office.

He was an official, and he had entered the bureaucracy at a very young age. Although his wife's illegitimate daughter before marriage embarrassed him, it had little impact on his career. Moreover, Qi Jiabao did not stay in his home for a long time, less than two years in total. Qi Jiabao's father left her a fortune, and Huang Tang used Qi Jiabao's own money to handle the formalities for her to settle in Hong Kong, because one of Qi Jiabao's uncles was in Hong Kong. At the beginning of Huang Tang's introduction to Qi Jiabao's home, Huang Tang explicitly told Hong Jinjiang to take the child to Hong Kong; so the two people agreed to claim that Qi Jiabao was Huang Tang's niece. If a person's life is still long, more than a year is only fleeting. It is logical for the niece to come to the house to live in, and to give a good-looking civil servant Hong Jinjiang a grandiose statement, saving face is not a problem.

Qi Jiabao did go to Hong Kong. She has been living in school in Hong Kong since junior high school. Her uncle, who was the guardian, treated her well, but her aunt had not allowed her, and her uncle could do nothing about it. She would go to her uncle's house every weekend in junior high school, but when she got to high school, she basically didn't go. She went to university in Lyon, France, and one weekend she went on a trip to Monaco and fell in love with this small country. She lived in the home of an elderly couple, and the two elderly people had no children, so she adopted her adoptive father and adoptive mother. Her adoptive mother later helped her become a Monegasque citizen.

Qi Jiabao has been in contact with his mother. This situation began since Qi Jiabao remembered, and her father had always allowed Huang Tang to visit his daughter, at least once a month, sometimes twice. So when her father died, she went to her mother's house with her mother, and she had almost no psychological barriers, because her mother had always been her mother, and she and her mother had always been harmonious. Even when she arrived in Hong Kong and later in France, she had a lot of contact with her mother. She did not hide her adoptive parents from her mother, she told her of her desire to become a citizen of monaco. Huang Tang understood her, supported her, and did not blame her in any way. Qi Jiabao did as he wished.

Last year (2012), she got married, and her husband is a Fijian Chinese named William Kong, because he has been in China for a long time, so he has become William Kong. He works for a multinational medical device company, and his specific job Qi Jiabao is not very clear, she just knows that his income is not bad, and income often indicates a person's value and status. Qi Jiabao and William Kong live in Shanghai, less than three hours' drive from Huangtang's city.

Hong Jingping inherited her mother's literary and artistic cells, and she has always been a student cadre. When she was in college (2008), her family was double-happy, one was that she was admitted to Nortel (the fashion name of the Beijing Film Academy); the other was that her father's leadership was changed from deputy to regular, and her father became the mayor's secretary. If you add the Beijing Olympic Games, the country's major events can be put together into a three-joy door.

Hong Jingping's major is film theory, but she successfully switched to directing at the end of her first year. By the end of the third grade, she had already decided to study directly, so she didn't have to worry about the paper like other students for a whole year. Other students' graduation internships were in the projects of various teachers on campus, and she had the opportunity to join an international group film crew and participate in the filming of a documentary by an international organization in China.

It was an attempt by a utopian non-governmental organization in China to select a village with a deep cultural heritage in the Central Plains and to be taught by a group of volunteers the Chinese Confucian classic "Disciple Rules" for three months. The film crew followed the whole process, not only filming the whole process of teaching the course, filming the changes of the villagers before and after learning, but also filming the process of recruiting volunteers in the early stage and training volunteers. Three of the volunteers become the protagonists of the story, their respective families also enter the story, and their close relatives become the characters.

Hong Jingping learned too many things in it, in addition to the shooting itself, there is also the construction of narrative structure, as well as the understanding of the big narrative, and how to enter the extraordinary creative way of thinking. Her biggest takeaway was the acquisition of a husband who is also the co-director and co-producer of this documentary project, his name is Meng Liyuan. This was his first work since returning to China. Thirty-one years ago, he went from Hohhot to Paris to study film, and now he has the title of doctor and professor, and is quite famous among French documentary filmmakers. Don't misunderstand, Hong Jingping did not repeat her mother's mistakes, she married Meng Liyuan after getting her graduation certificate, and she did not have children.

Huang Tang and her family

Hong Kaiyuan is the youngest in the family, and the popular name is the so-called "post-95", which should be raised for two years in September this year. When he was in junior high school, his father was already the deputy secretary-general of the municipal government office, so he could also call Hong Kaiyuan the "second generation of officials". All the characteristics of the "second generation of officials" Hong Kaiyuan have none, self-confidence is bursting, all the clothes are famous brands, there are houses and cars, there are deposits, there are courage and insight to dare to act, and do not put the father who brought him all this in his eyes.

He has his own connections, and among his friends, there are many "second generation officials" whose status is far above his father, and there is no shortage of "rich second generations". He didn't need to find his father at all to do anything, and his friends could help him with anything. His nickname among his friends was "Hong Dashao".

"Hong Dashao" is not a waste of time. More importantly, he is not only the "second generation of officials", he is also a veritable "rich second generation". His mother is the owner of the city's largest harmonious public relations company, and he has two rich older sisters, both of whom are equally generous to their younger brothers, especially the eldest. The eldest sister is the heir of a wealthy family in Europe and has a fairly strong economy. His Lamborghini "Bat" sports car was given by his eldest sister, and it is said that there are only three cars in the country. The second sister's gift is not inferior, the full set of Lycra M9, the latest Canon EOS500 movie camera. The mansion was given by my mother, a 460-square-meter sky garden with a full set of mahogany furniture, and the owner of the property deed was Hong Kaiyuan.

Hong Kaiyuan also has one thing, that is, American citizenship. His father was a civil servant, and if he wanted to rise in the position of civil servant, he must not be flawed in all aspects. Of course, the violation of the national policy of family planning is a great flaw. Hong Jinjiang wants a son, and does not want to cut off his career, the only choice is to go abroad to give birth, to the United States to give birth. What is more important is that Hong Jinjiang still has no flaws at all, and the officials are still in charge and the officials are promoted.

Hong Kaiyuan's situation is not rare, and his girlfriend Lu Xiaomei should also be similar to the road number. Don't suspect that the word "should" was used in the wrong place, not wrongly. Because Hong Kaiyuan herself has not been able to figure out how her American citizenship came from, she does not say it herself, and others will never be able to figure out her details. He had asked her, and she explicitly refused to answer, "It's best not to know what you shouldn't know." She spoke Better Chinese than he did, with almost no accent. Accents often reveal personal secrets.

She lives in the city hall's state guest house and has been living for at least a year. It was a large suite with a large living hall and an equally large bedroom. Her age used to be a secret, because Hong Kaiyuan found that all her underwear was red, so he categorically decided that this year was her original life year. Of course it couldn't be twelve, much less thirty-six, he guessed she was twenty-four. And he was seventeen years old. He often goes to the city's upscale venues, so he knows the prices of five-star hotels, standard or luxury suites, or even presidential suites. He thinks her room rate should be between the price of the luxury suite and the presidential suite, and she has stayed in the large suite of the guest house all year round, which must be financially strong. A year's rent is enough to buy a 100-square-meter house in the city center.

Lu Xiaomei was about one meter 73 tall, because that was also Hong Kaiyuan's height. They had been taller back-to-back than anyone when they were barefoot, and there was no winner, and no one had a clear winner. Lu Xiaomei's appearance was between Qu Ying and Fan Bingbing, and her skin was not very good or bad. But these are not the parts that Hong Kaiyuan appreciates, and he appreciates her unassuming state. She never spent his money, and when the two of them consumed together, if the previous time was Hong Kaiyuan who paid the bill, the next time she would insist that she pay the bill, Hong Kaiyuan could not help her no matter what, because she told him unmistakably that if he did not let her pay the bill, she would never interact with him again. And she had an advantage that no other girl had, and she never blamed him for anything he did, including smoking marijuana, which was a tightrope along the boundaries of the law.

At the age of Hong Kaiyuan, many boys are not very enthusiastic about sexual affairs, curiosity is that everyone is curious, but there is also there, usually there is no serious addiction. Addiction is a matter of age. Therefore, Hong Kaiyuan's choice of girlfriend has little to do with the quality of sexual affairs, especially those girls who go to bed easily, he will not consider being a girlfriend at all. Because of his mother's stern mention, he has always been strictly disciplined in the issue of pregnancy, and no matter what, he cannot let the girl get pregnant.

Huang Tang is very representative of his son's statement, "Those girls who don't care about pregnancy, their purpose is to make mature rice with you." Son, you are smart enough not to let those stupid girls take the plot for granted." Hong Kaiyuan felt that his mother's words were right. And Lu Xiaomei is more concerned about pregnancy than he is, she must not tolerate any possibility of pregnancy, and she is more meticulous than him when implementing contraceptive methods.

This is the family of Huang Tang, the protagonist of our story. Not to mention Huang Tang herself, any member of her family who brings it up alone has an endless story to tell. But those stories are about the past, the past is over, don't say it. Even if we omit all the stories, what happens every day that follows will constantly surprise me as a storyteller and make me relish it.

Although this is a story about Huang Tang, there are too many people around her, so in order not to cause confusion, we still come to sort out these characters.

The time is based on the axis of 2013

Huang Tang and her family

Huang Tang, the general manager of a large company; her husband Hong Jinjiang is the new director of the new development area; the eldest daughter is a wealthy Monegasque businessman who is married to a Fijian medical expert; the second daughter is a large program planner with EMBA status, married to a film director with French returned overseas Chinese status; the only son is an American high school student, his girlfriend is seven years older than him, is a rich mysterious girl; his mother is a retired drama critic... At this moment, the pioneer Ma Yuan stood at the scene of life with a realistic posture, patiently sketched the real life state of the "Huangtang family" family for us, and expressed his deep concern for the process of social development. Ma Yuan said, "The novel has to return from heaven to earth." He still has the narrative iceberg of his own.

Huang Tang and her family

Ma Yuan, a famous contemporary writer, is a professor at the Department of Chinese of Tongji University. Born in 1953 in Jinzhou, Liaoning. After graduating from the Department of Chinese of Liaoning University in 1982, he entered Tibet as a journalist and editor. In the same year, he began to publish works, including "The Temptation of Ganges", "No Sailboat in the West Sea", "Fiction", "Cow Ghost Snake God", "Entanglement", "Wan Ge Hanahara Trilogy", "My Days of Misfortune and Happiness", etc. He was once one of the pioneers of the "avant-garde", and his famous "narrative trap" created the atmosphere of "form as content" in the Chinese novel industry, which had an important impact on the development of contemporary Chinese literature. In recent years, Ma Yuan's works have mostly reflected the trend of returning to realism.
