You should be like a bird flying into your heavens

In 2019, an inspirational novel written by an American author, "When You Fly like a Bird to Your Mountain," swept the country, and the book topped the New York Times best-seller list in its first week of listing! The name of the 34-year-old author, the American writer and historian Tara Westover, has become a household name. She was once named "Influential Person of the Year" by Time Magazine, and Bill Gates praised her work!

The book is Tara's autobiography. Tara was born in 1986 in the mountains of Idaho from a family that few people could ever imagine. They don't go to school, they don't go to school, they don't get medical care, they're not allowed to have their voices. He never stepped into a classroom before the age of 17, but earned a phD in history from Cambridge University through self-study.

Tara proves with her own story that no matter how terrible the negative impact of your original family is on you, you can completely change yourself and create a new self. Everyone will eventually be able to fly like a bird to our own mountain.

Tara, "When You Fly Like a Bird to Your Heaven": Everyone can fly to their own mountain, but what about you

It is said that the unnamed lake is an ocean, so you may be a bird?

"It's said that the unnamed lake is an ocean, so maybe it's a bird?" This is what Xiang Shuai's mother said to Xiang Shuai. Xiang Shuai, real name: Tang Ya, a famous financial scholar in China, an associate professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Finance of the former Guanghua School of Management, Peking University.

When Xiang Shuai participated in Luo Zhenyu's "Inspiration Club" last year, she personally told: When she left Peking University and did self-media, she was faced with the scene of choice, she said, many people advised her not to leave Peking University, what else was tossed at the age of 40? She told her mother that many people said that "the unnamed lake is an ocean", and her mother did not raise her head, and replied: "Then you may be a bird?"

Hearing Xiang Shuai's story, I was moved to tears. I am also a mother, I have tried, if it is me, playing the guarantee ticket, absolutely can not say such a thing, asked myself, why? Reflection: Fear occupies one's heart, not enough courage, no firm trust, less unconditional love and respect.

And Xiangshuai's wise mother has enough trust and respect for Xiangshuai, and most importantly, her love for her daughter is unconditional and true love. She loves her daughter, understands her daughter, sees her daughter's unhappiness, trusts her daughter even more, and can do a very good job no matter what she does, so she supports her daughter to break through her comfort zone and find her own piece of the sky.

After resigning from Peking University, Xiangshuai launched "Xiangshuai's Peking University Finance Course", "Annual Xiangshuai China Wealth Report 25 Lectures", lectures "Xiangshuai • Science and Technology Innovation Board Opening Special Interpretation", "Xiangshuai • 2019 Wealth Trend Report" and so on, hundreds of thousands of people studied.

Let go and allow the child to choose his path

Engaged in writing teaching for more than 7 years, some of the children who studied with me entered college, some went to high school, and some went to junior high school. During this period, I often saw that parents were anxious about choosing a school for their children, and when they came to me, my advice was always: respect their children's own choices.

Countless times I have encountered parents who have asked: Children are so young, they still don't understand anything, just listen to them, where to go? Always tell them at this time that they know better which path is more suitable for them.

China's famous writer Chi Li has great respect for her daughter, when her daughter chose kindergarten for three weeks, she respected her daughter's choice and went to the kindergarten that her daughter chose; when Yichi was 11 years old, she decided to apply for the best foreign Chinese school in Wuhan, even if it was only half a year to review and prepare; at the age of 16, she decided to break away from the Chinese education system and choose schools around the world, from application materials to visa materials to computer examinations.

How many children of the same age can have the courage and strength to make decisions for themselves? How many parents can give their children real help and not let their children be "arranged"!?

In 2010, Lu Yichi translated "To My Daughter Who Ran Away from Home" introduced and published by Yilin Publishing House, and on December 15, 2011, he graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom.

Tara, Xiang Shuai, and Yi Chi all flew like birds to their own mountain. Tara can be alone, but what about our children? I believe that with our support, it is also possible! Just let it go!
