Liu Du (劉度), born and died in an unknown year, was a native of Quanling County, Lingling County (present-day Yongzhou, Hunan), and a history of Jingzhou in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.

During the Eastern Han Dynasty, Jingzhou administered seven counties: Nanyang County (southwest henan), Nan County (western Hubei), Jiangxia County (eastern Hubei), Changsha County (northeast Hunan), Guiyang County (southeast hunan), Wuling County (northwest hunan), and Lingling County (southwest Hunan). During the reign of Emperor Xian of Han, before Liu Biao led Jingzhou Mu, the seat of state administration was in Hanshou County (武陵郡, in present-day Changde, Hunan), and later moved to Xiangyang City (襄阳城, in modern Xiangyang, Hubei).

In the fifth year of Yanxi (162), 7,000 or 8,000 rebels from Changsha and Lingling invaded Cangwu and Jiaotong, and Cangwu Taishou and Jiaotong stabbed Shi Wangfeng and fled, and Cangwu and Jiaotong fell. The imperial court sent Yushi Zhongzhong to recruit troops to fight, and more than 600 soldiers in Yuzhangai County did not receive a reward after enlistment, so they rebelled, burning several counties in Changsha, attacking Yiyang and killing the county order, and the power gradually became stronger. The imperial court also sent Ma Mu to urge Jingzhou to assassinate Liu Du, but the result was that the rebels were defeated, and Ma Mu and Liu Du fled.

Later, Liu Du served as the Taishou of Lingling. When Liu Bei conquered the four counties of Jingnan, Lingling bore the brunt of it. Liu Du sent his son Liu Xian(劉贤) with the general Xing Daorong (邢道荣) to meet Liu Bei's army, hoping to win the victory by deception, but zhuge Liang recognized it and made a plan, so Liu Xian and Xing Daorong were ambushed. Xing Daorong was killed by Zhao Yun, Liu Xian was captured by Liu Bei's army, and then released to Lingling to recruit his father, Liu Du had no choice but to surrender, liu Bei still used him as the lingling taishou. After the establishment of the Shu Han Dynasty, Liu Du remained an official.
