Since the start of construction of Yangzhou Xinwanfu Road Bridge Project in October 2013, Guo Zhong has led the project team to successively undertake the construction of Yangzhou Jinwan Road Underpass Project, Yangzhou Development Road East Extension Project, Yangzhou Canal North and South Road Rapid Transformation Phase II Project, etc., with high standard construction management and high-quality boutique projects, it has made outstanding contributions to the construction of Yangzhou City, and has also brought good economic benefits and brand reputation to the company in Yangzhou.
In October 2015, Guo Zhong began to serve as the executive deputy manager of the i-bid section of the Yangzhou Development Road East Extension Project, which won more than 30 provincial, municipal and bureau honorary titles such as "Jiangsu Safe and Civilized Construction Site", "Jiangsu Provincial Key Project Labor Competition 'Meritorious Unit'", "Yangzhou Safe and Civilized Construction Site", and the first batch of "Happy Home" of the Bureau for three times in four years. During the construction period, Guo Zhong led the project team to overcome the difficulties of the main pier deep foundation pit, steel beam cantilever hoisting, main tower 68m high-altitude operation, high support mold, cross construction, etc., and innovatively used bim technology to simulate the construction of the deep foundation pit in the water to ensure the safety and controllability of construction. In the end, the project won major awards such as "China Railway Cup" quality project and "National Excellent Welding Project" first prize.
With rich experience in construction management, Guo Zhong has always carried forward the enterprise spirit of "courage to compete for the lead and never be satisfied" in the rapid transformation project of Canal North and South Road. After the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Guo Zhong set up a leading group for epidemic prevention and control in the project, actively cooperated with the bureau, the company, Wanfu Company and local governments, purchased epidemic prevention materials, set up isolation rooms, and did a good job of disinfecting the station, measuring the body temperature of employees, and checking the dynamic work of personnel to ensure the safety of personnel.
After learning that the situation of the epidemic prevention struggle in the golden community of Zhuxi Street was grim and the materials were in short supply, Guo Zhong immediately summoned the party members and comrades who stayed behind during the Spring Festival, jointly resolved, took out part of the reserve materials of the project department, and at the same time urgently purchased 500 masks, 100 kilograms of 84 disinfectant, 10 boxes of emergency food, donated to the golden community, and carried out the "anti-epidemic, party members in action" joint construction activity with the local streets, and actively participated in the prevention and control of the pneumonia epidemic caused by the new coronavirus infection.
After receiving the approval for the resumption of work, Guo Zhong organized the project to hold a special meeting on the resumption of work and production for the first time, optimized and upgraded various construction links, reversed the construction period, and formulated a sound plan for epidemic prevention and resumption of work. He actively created conditions for employees and construction teams to return to work, and promoted the accelerated return of personnel to work through measures such as special car transportation and free provision of isolation places. Strictly implement the health screening, online approval, record-making registration and other processes for those returning to work, and the on-the-job personnel will have their body temperature checks twice a day and eat in batches. Implement fully enclosed management of the project site, set up temperature detection points, strengthen on-site epidemic prevention, prepare epidemic prevention materials, and carry out epidemic prevention training. Guo Zhong strictly implemented the epidemic prevention and control and safety production work in place, realized the resumption of work and epidemic prevention and control, and arranged on-site overtime to strive to grab back the delayed construction period.
