Just as Wen Yiduo was about to graduate, his parents urged him to return from TsinghuaYuan and marry Gao Xiaozhen. During her serious illness, Li Ying often shouted for her father, but Wen Yiduo had just got a job and was inconvenient to go home, so she had to send a photo to her daughter. However, how can a photo solve the daughter's lovesickness? I was afraid that I was sick with sorrow, and I could not see each other until I died.
Daughter Li Ying finally could not survive this serious illness, when she died, the family hid from Wen Yiduo, and later Gao Xiaozhen wrote a letter to tell Wen Yiduo the bad news. After hearing more news, he immediately rushed back to his hometown, and before entering the house, he first inquired about his daughter's grave. Later, he carefully wrapped up what his daughter had used, and it said: "This is Li Ying's." ”
The pain of losing his daughter filled his whole body, and Wen Yiduo later wrote two mourning poems for Li Ying, one was "Forget Her" and the other was "I Want to Come Back", until he and Gao Xiaozhen gave birth to three sons (Li He, Li Diao, Li Peng) and two daughters (famous, Wen Huiyu), which gradually came out of the inner pain.

Wen Yiduo was also worried, in this chaotic era of war, transportation was inconvenient, communication was difficult, and at this time, Wen Yiduo also wanted to see his beloved wife quickly and reunite the family. When he was in a different place, he wrote many letters to pour out his thoughts and express his sincere love for his wife.
By chance, an old friend invited Wen Yiduo to participate in the work of the wartime education research committee that was being formed, but Wen Yiduo refused. Gao Xiaozhen was very angry when she found out, and she hoped that her husband could accept the work so that she could stay in Hankou and take care of the family with her. On July 15, 1946, Wen Yiduo was assassinated by agents in front of his home.
