The male protagonist Victor is a director - a once brilliant director, and when shooting a new film, the female lead abandons the film. Victor, unable to find a female lead actor, enlisted the help of Hank, who had attended a film symposium together, and Hank spent several years devising a computer-coded program that could create a vactor (virtual actor) and gave it to Victor.

With the help of Hank's program, Victor created a perfect female star, Simone, who has a seductive outside and superb acting skills, can act and sing, gain a large number of fans, and become a top idol. Victor intends to reveal "it" identity in the future, but for now he is engaged in creation, in order to cover up her vactor identity, Victor racked his brains, but as Simone starred in one film and held concerts, the popularity grew.
Simone's presence has had a huge impact on Victor's life, and some stories take place in the second half of the film, and spoilers end here.
After watching the movie, I think of fans and idols. I like to watch ball games, and I also like stars and clubs, but as a guerrilla fighter, in addition to especially liking a certain team in history, I am now a "flowing fan" of various clubs - playing well likes a while, and playing badly does not look. Favorite stars are also characters from the past. So when it comes to fans and idols, it's more about this film.
The fanatical fans in the film are attracted to beautiful things, love and curiosity about Simone, and release the passion of fanaticism. Reporters also chased after and intercepted and tried everything to obtain information about a non-existent "person". The fans' love for idols in the film has some comedic effect, but it is difficult not to say cute, perhaps in the process of such a chase, the undisguised, little-valued liking side of human nature is released; it may be because of the popular idols, and the sense of identity between people has increased, just like I have made some friends, because we all like a certain star; it may also be because I have seen the good side of life and yearned for; or it may be because of fashion - in short, many reasons. And the all-pervasive paparazzi or reporters, in order to get Simone's news, even made up their way, but they don't know that Simone is originally fake, just like their report, which is very mocking.
On the other hand, there is the idol, Simone, as a virtual person, has many fans, however, all this is the masterpiece of Hank and Victor. Victor relied on her to reap the rewards of his career, but he was also kidnapped with her. He told his ex-wife the truth, and the ex-wife didn't take it seriously. He ruined Simone with extreme rhetoric and vulgar performances, and did not reduce her position in the hearts of the audience and fans, and everyone still applauded her warmly - this is reminiscent of the word "double standard", the favored have no fear, if another person did the same thing, people's feedback may be very different. In the film, simone's idol is well protected by fans, and even one of her founders can't destroy her image among fans or audiences.
How does the virtual person Simone exist as an actress (star)? Here the ex-wife said something very meaningful: "Every actor is an invention". The fact of the performance makes Simone real, and whether this authenticity is fictionalized by the audience or constructed by the director, she is born for the performance.
In the film, people needed simone as an idol, and Victor had to let her exist, this film is not a new film, the technology was not as developed as it is now, and it did not involve any current business or other events - probably an earlier film about the idol. Although I have seen a lot of news, but I consciously do not understand the current situation, the former pink football club is because a certain team spent the green years with him, like a certain star because he can represent his youth, like the spirit of cooperation during the game, like the sympathy between club teammates, like the skillful skills of the stars, and even some stars in front of the goal to think about life will become a paragraph, rather than being pointed out by thousands of people - the fans' preference - I don't know if chasing stars is also such a mentality now.
Off-topic: I started writing so much because I saw a fan who has been doing himself very steadily: reading, working, and having a gentle attitude, unlike what I've seen on some social platforms — and even making me wonder why this person likes a certain star so much.
Sometimes I see talking about age, spending power, etc. on the Internet, and I see this fan suddenly realize that in today's world where academic qualifications and abilities are not exactly equal, and age is difficult to fully represent quality, what is more powerful than a down-to-earth and better self? For many people who do not pay much attention to idols and stars, the best way for fans to introduce their idols to others is to be a person who loves his family and friends, is serious and responsible for his work, and studies hard, indicating: I am so good, and my fans are not far behind! Using ordinary and beautiful self to "endorse" idols is the most advanced star chasing bar ~~
