In the early 1990s, I came across Mr. Zheng Zhenduo's "The Secretary of the Robbery", from which I could not only understand the general content and version knowledge of various books, but also be greatly interested in the author's experience of obtaining books. Since then, I have liked "book talk" and "bibliography" books.
Before the Spring Festival in early 2001, I went home for a vacation from a steel mill in Guiyang, where I was sent by my unit to respond to the "great development of the western region." So after a while, I took a car to the Huabao Building of the Shanghai City God Temple. When I got out of the car, I saw that outside a demolition ruin, there were some scattered tin houses with antiques and old books. Walking into a shop selling old books, there was a thin old man sitting in the shop, and we greeted each other politely. I saw the old man put this book on the front desk of Mr. Yan Baoshan's "Book Selling Scriptures and Eyes", in fact, I don't know who Mr. Yan Baoshan is, but I know the "Book Selling Even Record", so I subconsciously know that it must be a "book", "bibliography" book, turned it over, looked at the price of "45" yuan, and bought it immediately. When the old man saw me enter the door, he bought this book, smiled and pointed behind him, and said, "I still have good books..." I looked behind him and it turned out to be "Duoyun Xuan Notes" and "Luo Xuan Changing Ancient Notes", holding them in my hand and looking closely at them were old versions of paper and ink like new, the opening price was about a thousand yuan, and my heart was greatly moved. Unfortunately, at that time, the network was not developed to send remittances, and only a thousand yuan of living expenses were paid every month in Guiyang, and the salary had to be returned to the Nanjing unit to get it, so the pocket was shy. I had to shake my head apologetically at the old man, who smiled kindly and didn't say anything more.
Looking back now, sometimes something is lost. Now the price of "Duoyun Xuan Notes" and "Luo Xuan Changing Ancient Notes" has already exceeded 10,000, and it can only be seen at professional ancient book auctions. Recently, the price of the old version of the "Book Selling Scriptures and Eyes" written by Mr. Yan Baoshan has also reached thousands, and it is also a little comforting in my heart.
Probably what people often call "collection opportunities", that's it!
