Generally speaking, the shape of the target is not too irregular, so we choose five typical shapes of the targets in different sizes. Using the skeleton generation algorithm, we get corresponding skeleton shown in Figure 3b. Then we apply the GA-based shot placement algorithm, resulting in three shots for the target: one 14 mm helmet and two 8 mm helmets.
