（180）The Hare and the
Tortoise
A hare one day laughed at the short feet and slow speed of the tortoise, who replied,laughing:“Though you are fast as the wind, I willbeat you in a race.”The hare believed her words to be simply impossible and accepted the challenge ;and they agreed that the fox should choose the course and fix the goal. On the day appointed for the race the two started together. The tortoise never for a moment stopped, but went on with a slow but steady pace straight to the end of the course. The hare, lying down by the way, fell fast asleep.At last he woke up, and moved as fast as he could, but he saw the tortoise had reached the goal, and was comfortably dozing after her fatigue .Slow but steady steps wins the race.
龜兔賽跑
一天，兔子笑話烏龜，說它腿短，走路慢。烏龜笑着說：“雖然你跑得象風一樣快，比賽跑步的話我能打敗你。”兔子認為烏龜說的話純屬無稽之談，于是接受了這個挑戰。他們同意讓狐狸選好路程，确立目的地。在指定好的比賽日，他們兩個一起出發了。烏龜一刻也不停步，邁着緩慢但卻堅定不移
的步伐一直走到終點。而兔子卻躺在路邊，呼呼大睡，最後它終于醒了，拼命往前跑，它看見烏龜已經到了終點，正在舒舒服服地打着瞌睡歇氣呢。
緩慢而堅定的步伐最終能夠赢得比賽。
