"Bottles of water meet!"

On May 10th, "Flowers Bloom and Tie Meiyun River City - The First Joint Exhibition of Hubei Provincial Museum and Wuhan Museum Collection of Yuan Qinghua Four Love Tu Plum Vases" was launched.

The Yuan qinghua Si Ai Tu Mei vase from the Hubei Provincial Museum and the Yuan Qinghua Si Ai Tu Mei Vase from the Wuhan Museum got together and came to a close look in the exhibition hall of the Wuhan Museum. The two plum bottles are nearly 700 years old. If the relics could talk, would the two of them have an interesting conversation?

The efforts of the two cultural scholars of "Jiangnan" and "Jiangbei" have achieved a good story

Yuan Qinghua four love tu plum vase, a single cultural relics have attracted great attention.

Cai Luwu, director of the Preservation Department of the Hubei Provincial Museum, introduced to the Jimu News reporter that at present, there are only about 400 pieces of genuine Yuanqinghua porcelain in the world, and the character pattern Yuanqinghua is even rarer and more precious. "At present, there are only two Yuanqinghua Four Love Tumei bottles, both in Wuhan." The Yuanqinghua Four Love Tumei Bottle of Hubei Provincial Museum and the Yuanqinghua Four Love Tumei Bottle of Wuhan Museum are the treasures of the town halls of the two museums, respectively.

As a scholar who has worked hard for decades, Wang Ruihua, director of the Wuhan Museum, proudly said: "A museum has YuanQinghua porcelain, and this museum cannot be underestimated." And in a city, it is even more exciting to have two yuanqinghua plum vases. ”

Moreover, the theme of these two plum vases is close to and similar - the plum vase is painted around the "Wang Xi zhi AiLan" figure, the "Zhou Dunyi Ailian" figure, the "Tao Yuan Ming Ai Ju" figure, and the "Lin Kui Ai Mei" figure, there was once a saying that this was from the hand of the same craftsman in the Yuan Dynasty, and there are also sayings that it is not from the hand of one person. This also gives the "gathering" of the two plum bottles more fun to solve puzzles.

Wuhan people are accustomed to calling Hankou "Jiangbei" and Wuchang "Jiangnan". According to Wang Ruihua, director of the Wuhan Museum, in the past, the two plum bottles were "across the river". In order to plan the two plum bottles to be exhibited together, Wang Ruihua found the Hubei Provincial Museum. The plum bottle of Hubei Provincial Museum was loaned out of the museum, and the double bottle was gathered for the first time in the Wuhan Museum, which achieved a good story in the cultural and expo circles.

Two plum bottles have their own "legends"

Although the same name, almost the same pattern theme, but the two plum bottles have their own "destiny", each has its own "legend".

The "Yuan Qinghua Four Love Tu Mei Bottle" of the Hubei Provincial Museum is an excavated cultural relic. From November 2005 to January 2006, the Hubei Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics organized the Hubei Provincial Archaeological Research Institute, the Jingmen Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and the Zhongxiang Museum to establish the Ming Dynasty Yingjing King Tomb Excavation Archaeological Task Force, and carried out archaeological excavations of the tomb of King Zhongxiang Yingjing in Hubei Province.

The Yuan Qinghua Four Love Tu Mei Bottle of Hubei Provincial Museum also witnesses a poignant story behind it. In the winter of the twelfth year of Ming Yongle (1414), Zhu Dongxue, the twenty-fourth son of Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, died, only six years after he went to the fief of Yingzhou (郢州, in modern Zhongxiang, Hubei). The nickname is "Jing". In December, Princess Guo committed suicide and was buried with Zhu Dong. Princess Yin was born into a famous family and was the daughter of Guo Ying, the founding hero of the Ming Dynasty. Princess Yin lived with King Ying for nine years and gave birth to 4 daughters. After Zhu Dong's death, Princess Ying mourned all day long, thinking that she was widowed and childless, and did not want to live in the world, so she looked in the mirror, painted her face on paper, and told the palace people: When the daughters grow up, let them know their mothers through portraits. She then committed suicide. The imperial court "thickened his canon", buried his body with gold and silver jewelry, and buried him with King Yingjing. The yuan qinghua four love tumei vase that was buried with it witnessed this love story of "life and death and death in the same cave".

The Wuhan Museum's "YuanQinghua Four Love Tumei Bottle" is a cultural relic, and its origin is also quite emotional.

At the press conference on the day of the exhibition, Wang Ruihua, director of the Wuhan Museum, also emotionally shared his personal experience with the media.

One day in October 1987, a couple carried a plum bottle into a cultural relics store on Wusheng Road in Hankou. The staff saw the plum bottle in their hands and quickly reported to the teacher in charge of the acquisition in the store, Fu Wang Xiechen. Wang Xiechen carefully examined the plum bottle, determined that it was genuine, and then decided to bid for it. As a result, after some haggling between the two sides, the couple left the store with the plum bottle in their arms. Wang Xiechen looked at the couple's back and couldn't help but feel sorry in his heart. Wang Ruihua, who stood by and witnessed all this, quickly chased out of the store. "At that time, I was still an apprentice and didn't know much about cultural relics, but when I saw Master Wang Xiechen's reluctant expression, I knew that this thing must be a good thing." Wang Ruihua recalled that after he chased him out, he said a jargon to the couple in the collection industry: "Once the porcelain is broken, it is not worth half a piece." "Persuade them to sell this porcelain to the national collection agency and keep it well." This yuanqinghua four love tumei bottle was sold. In 2010, the Wuhan Cultural Relics Store merged with the Wuhan Museum, and this plum bottle has since become the treasure of the Wuhan Museum (Wuhan Cultural Relics Exchange Center).

Welcome to find "different" in "painting on the same subject"

The layman looks at the bustle, and the insider looks at the doorway. Although the two plum vases, ordinary people look at the pattern theme is almost the same, but archaeologists, wenbo people can still find subtle differences between them.

Wang Ruihua and Cai Luwu took the reporter to see in detail the similarities and differences between the two plum bottles, and it can be said that the two plum bottles are the same work "different" song. The shape and texture of the two plum bottles are similar, the glaze color is slightly different, the plum vase stored in the Hubei Provincial Museum, the blue and white hair color is light and green, and the plum bottle stored in the Wuhan Museum is blue and dark. In terms of ornamentation, the layout of the two ornaments is the same, the theme ornament "Four Love Diagram" has the same theme and content, and there are still differences in the details of the characters. For example, the plum bottle stored in the Hubei Provincial Museum, the painting of Wang Xizhi's chest and shoulders, showing the wind and currents of Wei and Jin, behind him is a plane tree; the plum bottle stored in the Wuhan Museum, Wang Xizhi's gentle and elegant, the willow branches hanging behind it. There is also a difference in the bun of the two boys. There are also subtle differences in the other diagrams.

According to reports, the theme of the painting with the anecdotes and elegant sentiments of the ancient literati as the content of the painting is called "Gao Shi tu", which is an important expressive theme of Chinese porcelain painting figure painting. The Gao Shitu in ceramic painting is created on the basis of Chinese painting. "Four Love Diagrams" is one of the themes of "Coats Diagrams".

The emergence of the Four Love Map has a certain relationship with the political system and social and cultural features of the Yuan Dynasty. The Yuan government did not attach importance to the imperial examination system, and the entry channels for Han intellectuals were closed. Under the ethnic policy of "dividing the people into four classes", Han scholars and doctors were forced to give up their careers, as if they were wandering and often taking an indifferent attitude towards life, and had to avoid the spiritual world of literature and painting. On the one hand, they longed for the life of ancient hermits and worshiped the noble sentiments of Wang Xizhi, Zhou Dunyi, Tao Yuanming, Lin Kui, and other famous scholars, and this ideological tendency was also reflected in the choice of porcelain decorative themes in this period; on the other hand, the hermit feelings of dissatisfaction with reality and avoidance of the world also promoted the transformation of the subject matter and style of Yuan Dynasty painting: one mountain and one water, one stone and one bamboo, randomly stained landscapes and white characters with classical feelings, became an important feature of Yuan Dynasty literati painting. This style influenced the painting style of ceramic ornamentation at that time to a certain extent, and was also reflected in the two four love picture plum vases mentioned in this article.
