That’s also the motivation why lots of families are willing to sacrifice, despite the hardship during training. India seems only focused on cricket and they they don’t seem to be interested in any other sports.

While I do agree India lacks behind in sport. But when it comes to China, India is much better than China at some of the popular sports other than football.

The Chinese sports system was established to make sure talented individuals are given right opportunities, but it won’t turn an average Joe into a Olympic champion.

India is not good as China in sports because in India there is lack of facilities for sports comparison to China and there is less encourage and motivation and other sports are less popular than cricket but I think after Indian government KHELO INDIA programme India will progress in sports in coming years .
