I. The original text of "Zuo Biao"
1. The "Zuo Chuan Zhao Dynasty" records that Gongsun Qiao of zheng guo led a delegation to the jin state, and the dialogue with the Jin state in the guest house showed the existence of two Tang uncles in the late Shang dynasty and early Zhou. One was the last prince of the Tang Dynasty, and the other was the son of King Wu of Zhou.

2. The original text is as follows:
The Marquis of Jin was ill, and Zheng Bo made Gongsun Qiao as a recruit and asked for a problem. Shu Xiang asked Yan, "The disease of the widow, the Bu people know: "Shi Shen and Tai Xiao are the secret." Shi Mozhi knew, dare to ask this god also?" "There are two sons of the Xi Gaoxin clan, Bo Yue Fu Bo, Ji Yue Shi Shen, living in the open forest, and they are not compatible." Day after day to seek gango, in order to compete with each other. The Later Emperor did not Zang, and moved Fu Bo to Shangqiu, the main chen. Merchants are because of them, so chen is a business star. Qianshi Shen in Bactria, the main counselor. The Tang people were because of it, in order to serve Xia and Shang. His Ji Shi is known as Tang Shuyu. When The Wu King Yi Jiang Fangzhen was the uncle, Emperor Meng said to himself: "Yu Yu and his son Yu will be with Tang, who belongs to zhusan, and who will breed his descendants." And sheng, there is a text in his hand: "虞", so he took his life. And the king of Cheng destroyed the Tang and was given the title of uncle, so he was promoted to Jinxing.
2. Translation of "Left Transmission"
3. The Marquis of Jin (Duke Ping of Jin) was ill, and Zheng Bo (Duke Jian of Zheng) sent his son (Gongsun Qiao) to the State of Jin to inquire and visit the Marquis of Jin.]
4. Shu Xiang asked the son, "The widow's illness, the Bu people said' is Shi Shen, Tai Xiao is at work', Tai Shi does not know them, dare to ask what kind of god this is?" ”
5. Zi Chan said: "Once upon a time, Emperor Gaoxin had two sons, the eldest of whom was Fu Bo, whose young age was Called Shi Shen, who lived in the wilderness and dense forests, were incompatible with each other, and often fought and fought (this was the struggle between two tribes or clans in ancient times for each other to survive in space). Di Yao thought that they were not good in this way, so he placed the two tribes in a distant area. Fu Bo was moved to Shangqiu, and the main Ancestral Star was the central part of Henan, which was later the rise of The Yin merchants, so Chen was called the Shang Star. Moving Shi Shen to Bactria and the main worship of the stars is the Shanxi of the Tang dynasty activities in the future. The Tang people have been inherited to serve the Xia Dynasty and the Shang Dynasty, and the last days of the Tang Kingdom are called Tang Shuyu.
6. At that time, King Wu of Zhou's concubine Jiang Gang was pregnant with his uncle, and dreamed that the Emperor of Heaven said to him: 'I named your son Yu, and I am going to give him the Kingdom of Tang, which belongs to The Star, where he will breed and raise his descendants.' When his son was born, sure enough, his palm had a pattern like The word Yu, and he immediately named him Yu. After King Cheng of Zhou destroyed the Tang Kingdom (1033 BC), he was enfeoffed to the Tang Kingdom, so the star was the Jin (Jin State) Star.
7. [Ji Shi] The end times. [Tang Shuyu] This is the last monarch of the Tang Dynasty, after Liu Lei, the surname of Qi, a servant merchant, and tang Shuyu, the first emperor of the Jin Dynasty, is not the same person.
3. Other supporting historical materials
8. In the volume of the "Catalogue of Ancient and Modern Names" written by (Liang) Emperor Yuan, (Tang) Lu Shanjing continued, and (Yuan) Ye Sen supplemented, the first page records that "Uncle Er Tang, One Yu Zhi Ji Shi Yi Zhou Wu King used his name." "It shows that in ancient times, there were two Tang uncles, one was Yu Zhijishi (Tang Shuyu) and the other was King Wu of Zhou who used his name (姬虞)."
9. (Shu) Feng Jixian's "Spring and Autumn Names Attributed to Yi tu and volume", which lists the names of people, which are distinguished by country and easy to retrieve, and are recorded on pages 18 to 19, "Jin (Marquis of Ji surname, Tang Shuyu, son of King Wu, was also the duke of Jin, the mother and brother of King Cheng, Yu Yu, the father of Xie changed Tang to Jin, and The Marquis of Zhaofeng Huan became a teacher in Quwo, and the duke of Wu and the state of The Emperor were the Marquis of Jin, and now they are recorded together." "Uncle Tang (Emperor of the First Seal of Zhao Fifteenth Dynasty) Uncle Yu of Tang (桓六/昭元) Uncle Yu (赵元 Tang Zhi Ji Shi Qijun 曰叔虞; Shu Yu Chengwang's maternal brother- Uncle Tai. It is also clearly recorded that two uncles, one of the Tang Dynasty's Ji Shiqijun Shuyu, and the other is the mother and brother of King Cheng.
10. "Eight Kinds of Shiben" (Commercial Press, 1957 edition), of which Zhang Shushu collected supplementary notes, 122 pages, volume 5 "Wang Hou Dafu Genealogy Jin Spectrum" cites "Shi Ji Suoyin" and "Road History" as "Tang Shu Xie Zi Man Period as Wu Hou", with Xie as Tang Uncle. From this passage, it can be seen that Uncle Tang is not the exclusive title of (Ji) Tang Shuyu, and it can also be called the same for his son Xie Father. It can be seen that "Uncle Tang" is a title for the tang monarch. (Ji) Tang ShuYu, according to the "Jin Shijia", the character Is Yu, so Tang Shu should also be his title.
IV. Conclusion
11. There were undoubtedly two Tang uncles at the end of the Shang Dynasty and the beginning of the Zhou Dynasty. And the two Tang Uncle Yu were one before and one after the other, one old and one young; when The Ji surname Tang Shuyu was born, the Qi surname Tang Shuyu had been the monarch for many years and was quite influential in the Shang Tang princes; otherwise, the King of Zhou Wu would not have given his son the same name; this Qi surname Tang Shuyu should be older than the King of Zhou Wu, or at least the princes of the same era.
12. Some scholars believe that The Ji surname Tang Shuyu is the last prince of the Tang Kingdom and the ancestor of the Jin Dynasty; if the "Tang people are the causes" in the Zuo Zhuan, in order to serve Xia and Shang. His Ji Shi is known as Tang Shuyu. Referring to the words of this Ji surnamed Tang Shuyu, for the classics of "Zuo Chuan" and "Spring and Autumn", which are like gold, it is enough to add to the snake, which is also an underestimation of the IQ of Zuo Qiuming and others; since "Zuo Chuan. The Spring and Autumn Period particularly emphasizes that "the Tang people are the cause and serve the Shang", which of course refers specifically to the last prince of the Tang Kingdom, the Qi surname Tang Shuyu, because the only person who can serve the Yin Shang Dynasty is the Qi surname Tang Shuyu; the Ji surname Tang Shuyu was not born at the end of the Shang Dynasty, and it is even more impossible to serve the Yin Shang, because he is the marquis of the Zhou Cheng Dynasty, and can only serve the Zhou.
13. During the Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC to 476 BC), the Zhou royal family began to decline, retaining only the name of the co-lord of the world, and had no actual control over the local feudal states. Therefore, when talking about the Western Zhou royal family, in addition to Ji Fa and Ji Chanting as King Wu and King Cheng, other members of the zixian directly called him by their first names, such as Yi Jiang, Yu (姬虞), TaiShu, etc.; but they still had great respect for the titles of Emperor Yao (Later Emperor) and Tang Shuyu (the last prince of the Yin Shang Tang Kingdom), indicating that this Tang Uncle Yu (Qi surname) was not the Ji surname Tang Shu Yu of the Western Zhou Dynasty.
14. So why did this story come out of the mouth of the child? Because Zichan (Gongsun Qiao) was a famous politician and thinker in the Spring and Autumn Period; he was erudite, humble and solemn, serious and cautious, loved the people like a son, and was one of the "six gentlemen" who were strictly served by Confucius, and Confucius respected him as a righteous brother. Qing dynasty historian Wang Yuan praised him as "the first person in the Spring and Autumn Period". Therefore, the history of the "two Tang Shuyu" told by the son is indeed credible.
