Yang Yanzhao (real name Yang Yanlang) is the eldest son of yang ye (yang ye six sons in the novel) of the famous northern Song dynasty anti-Liao general, and the Liao people believe that the sixth of the seven stars of the Big Dipper, Youyan North, is their nemesis, and the Liao people regard him as the sixth star in the sky, so they call him Yang Liulang. The history books record: Yang Yanzhao accompanied his father Yang Ye on his conquests since childhood, Yongxi three years of northern expedition, Yang Ye led an army to attack Ying, Shuo and other prefectures, then twenty-nine years old Yan Zhao as the vanguard, zhan Shuozhou under the city, the flow of arrows through the arm, the battle more courageous, and finally captured Shuozhou. After the death of his father, he took on the heavy responsibility of resisting the Liao in the Yanbian region of Hebei. In the second year of Jingde (1005), he was promoted to the post of Defense Envoy of Baozhou Prefecture, and was soon transferred to the post of Deputy Capital of Gaoyang Guan. In the seventh year of Dazhongxiangfu (1014), Yang Yanzhao died at the age of fifty-seven and was buried in Yong'an County (present-day Yonghou Mausoleum of Emperor Yingzong of Song, Gongyi, Henan).
It can be seen from this that Yang Yanzhao's original official position of "Baozhou Zhizhou and Inspector of Yuanbiandu" is equivalent to today's Mayor of Baoding City and Director of Public Security. In the second year of Jingde (1005), he was promoted to "Baozhou Defense Envoy". Yang Yanzhao's last official position, "Deputy Capital of GaoyangGuan", was extraordinary, first of all, "GaoyangGuan" was one of the four pacification roads in Hebei placed in the eighth year of the Song Dynasty (1048), with jurisdiction over the areas of present-day Tianjin City, south of Rongcheng, Hebei, Baiyangdian, Wuyi, Nangong, east of Qinghe, and Wucheng and Wudi counties in Shandong. "Du Deployment" is the full name of "Ma Bujun Du Deployment", which is the local military commander of the Song Dynasty in the adjacent Liao and Xia regions, and is the commander-in-chief of all front-line deployments.
