Beijing News On April 19, according to foreign media reports, the opening film of the 74th Cannes Film Festival was finalized for the film "Annette" directed by Leo Carrax and starring Adam Dreifer and Marion Cotillard. The film was also shortlisted for the main competition unit. This year's Festival de Cannes will take place from 6 to 17 July.

Annette is Leo Carax's new work after The Hallowed Carriage and his first English-language film about the ups and downs of a couple of lovers who worked in Hollywood and the fate of their daughter. Veteran rock band Sparks wrote songs for the film, with music producer Marius de vries (City of Philharmonics, Moulin Rouge, Cats) also participating.
Earlier, the film's screenwriter Russell Meier revealed in an interview with foreign media that the film was filmed at the end of 2019, 95% of the lines in the film were sung, and the actor Adam Dreifer's performance was very amazing.
