Synopsis:
In 2020, the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center's "Classic Drama and Re-talk" series will set its sights on Northern Europe, adapting the classic play "Miss Julie" by Swedish drama master August Strindberg, and working with Swedish national treasure director Helda Helveg to present the audience with a dance party of madness and destruction, a game of lust and power.
On a midsummer night, the Duke's daughter, Miss Julie, who had just experienced a breakdown, slipped out of the ball in the mansion and met the maid Jean in the kitchen. In a night thicker than lust, Julie and Jean are pushed into madness.
After the madness, in addition to the worldly pressures, they have to face a self-battle that is difficult to overcome: she has power because she is aristocratic; he has power because he is a man...
" Until I return to the ground, my heart will never be at peace. Have you ever felt the same way? ”
