Han Baohu (538 – December 26, 592), originally known as Capture Leopard, was a Chinese poet. A native of Dongyuan, Henan (present-day East, Xin'an County, Henan). A famous general of the Sui Dynasty, he was the son of the Northern Zhou general Han Xiong.

Han Huhu was originally a native of Dongyuan, Henan, and later moved to Xin'an. His father, Han Xiong, was known for his bravery and integrity, and served as an official in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, with official positions ranging from the eight prefectures of Great General, Luoyang, and Yuzhou to The History of Assassination.
When Han Baohu was young, he was rough and heroic, known for his courage and strategy, and his physique was large and majestic, and he had the appearance of a hero Haojie. He also liked to read, and he knew the general purpose of the scriptures, the history books, and the words of the Hundred Schools.
Zhou Taizu Yuwen Tai saw him and thought he was unique, so he let him play with his sons. Later, because of his military merits, he was given the official position of governor and Xin'an Taishou (新安太守), and was slowly promoted to Yi Tong Sansi (宜同三司), hereditary Duke of Xinyi County.
Emperor Yuwen of Zhou attacked Northern Qi, and Qi defended Jin Yongcheng with the town of Yongye alone, and Han Hu persuaded him to surrender. After marching into Pingding Fanyang, he was given the title of Shangyi Tong (上宜同) and given the official post of Yongzhou Assassin.
The Southern Chen army pushed into Gwangju City, and Han Defeated them as commander-in-chief of the march. He also followed Yuwen Xin to pacify Hezhou. After Yang Jian became a chancellor, he became the Assassin of Hezhou. Chen's generals Zhen Qing, Ren Mannu, and Xiao Maha expressed solidarity with each other, invading Jiangbei many times and invading the borders of Northern Zhou successively. Han Huhu repeatedly thwarted their vigor, causing Great demoralization of Southern Chen.
In the first year of the kai emperor (581), the Sui Emperor Yang Jian secretly harbored the ambition to annex Jiangnan, believing that Han Huhu had the talent of literature and martial arts, and Ping Su was very famous, so he made him the governor of Luzhou, and entrusted Han Huhu with the heavy responsibility of pacifying Southern Chen, which was very frightening to the enemy.
In the eighth year of the Kai Emperor (588), Emperor Wen of Sui made a major attack on Chen, with Han Huhu as the vanguard, he led five hundred soldiers to cross the river at night, attacked the quarry, and the Chen army defending the city was drunk, and Han Huhu took the opportunity to occupy it. Attacking Gusu, he attacked in half a day, followed by the capture of Xinlin. The people of Jiangnan usually heard of his prestige and credibility, and they all came to the military gate to meet him, day and night. Chen Ren was very frightened, and Chen surrendered to Han Hu one after another by Fan Tour, Lu Shizhen, and Tian Rui. Yang Guang, the king of Jin, reported these situations to Emperor Wen of Sui, and Emperor Wen was very happy after hearing this, and he feasted on the courtiers.
Yang Guang sent du yan, the commander of the march, to rendezvous with Han Huhu, and the infantry and cavalry amounted to 20,000 people. At this time, Chen Shubao sent the leader Cai Zhengzhen to guard Suzaku Hang, and when he heard that Han Huhu was coming, the soldiers fled because they were afraid of Han Huhu. Ren Barbarian was defeated by He Ruobi and left his army to surrender to Han Huhu. Han Hu attacked the Suzaku Gate directly with 500 elite cavalry. The Nanchen soldiers were about to fight, but Ren Barbarian pointed at them and said, "I have surrendered, what are you doing!" "Everyone broke up and fled. So he pacified Jinling and captured Chen Shubao, the lord of Chen Hou, alive. At that time, He Ruobi also had some credit.
So Emperor Wen of Sui issued an edict to Yang Guang, saying: "These two people, who are deeply strategic, are guarding against the enemy of aggression in the southeast, and I have appointed them to pacify the southeast and appease the people, and everything is the same as I thought." Kyushu has not been unified for hundreds of years, and with the merits of these famous courtiers, they can accomplish the great cause of the Taiping and the prosperous world, and the great events of the world, what can be more than these? It was a great pleasure to hear about this. Pacifying Jiangnan is the strength of these two people! "So he rewarded the silk with ten thousand pieces.
Later, he issued an edict to Han Baohu and He Ruobi, saying: "You have raised the prestige of the country thousands of miles away, preached and indoctrinated in a corner of Jiangnan, freed the people of the southeast from the depths of the water, and eliminated the enemy for hundreds of years in ten days. Your high reputation is stuffed in the universe, your great cause of prosperity is evident in heaven and earth, and you have heard the affairs of the ancients in your previous lives, and you can rarely match it. The army is triumphant, I know that the period is not far away, I miss you very much, and I live like a year. ”
When they returned to the capital, He Ruobi and Han Huhu fought for merit in front of Emperor Wen of Sui, and He Ruobi said: "I fought to the death at Mount Jiang, defeated the enemy's elite troops, captured the enemy's brave generals alive, and greatly enhanced their might, so I pacified Chen Guo." Han Huhu didn't fight the enemy very much, how could it be compared with my merits! ”
Han Huhu said, "I was instructed by the King of Jin to join forces with your army to attack the capital of the Chen Kingdom, and you He Ruobi dared to venture out in front of me, and as soon as I encountered the thieves, I began to fight, resulting in many casualties among the soldiers." I led five hundred elite cavalrymen, weapons without blood, and took Jinling, causing Ren Barbarians to surrender, capturing Chen Shubao, occupying their treasury, and overturning their lairs. He Ruobi did not knock on the north gate until the evening, and I opened the city gate to accept him. He couldn't even make amends for his sins, how could he compare with me! ”
Emperor Wen of Sui said, "Both of you should be awarded special merits. So he promoted Han Huhu to the position of Shangzhu Guo, and rewarded him with eight thousand pieces of silk. Later, Yousi revealed that Han Huanhu had indulged the soldiers and defiled Chen Gong, and for committing this crime, he was not knighted.
Later, when the Turks came to worship, Emperor Wen of Sui said to them, "Have you heard that there is a Chen Guo Tianzi in Jiangnan?" They replied, "I've heard of it." So the emperor asked his attendants to lead the Turkic envoys to Han Huhu and said, "This is the one who captured Chen Guo's Heavenly Son." Han Baohu looked at them fiercely, they were very frightened, did not dare to look up at him, he was so majestic.
Emperor Wen of Sui also made him the Duke of Shouguang County, with a thousand households. As the commander of the march, he garrisoned Jincheng to guard against Hu Kou's attack, and then he was given the post of governor of Liangzhou. Soon, Han Huhu was summoned back to the capital by Emperor Wen of Sui, who set up a banquet in the inner hall to entertain him, and the gift was very generous.
On November 17, 592 (December 26, 592), Han Huhu died at the age of fifty-five. His son Han Shichen succeeded him to the title.
