Affected by the epidemic and the Zhongyuan Festival, many plastic bags, red candles, confetti and other garbage have appeared on the banks of the Xiangjiang River in recent times. On that day, the volunteers were very enthusiastic, they were not afraid of hard work, actively divided labor and cooperation, picked up garbage on the river beach, and 4 groups picked up a total of 43.1 kilograms of garbage, most of which were firecracker pieces, cigarette butts, porcelain bowls and red candles.

After the beach cleaning activity, the two associations also carried out environmental protection small classes and environmental protection knowledge answer activities, so that everyone could learn garbage classification, carbon peaking, carbon neutrality and other knowledge in the game. "This insignificant waste can pollute rivers, and the beach cleaning campaign has made us aware of the importance of environmental protection." Liu Shanling, a first-year junior high school student, said that everyone has the responsibility to protect the environment, and in the future, in daily life, we will implement the concept of green and low-carbon life and environmental protection, so that green water will flow for a long time and green mountains will always exist.
